Can you believe the law says switching bosses is not a reasonable accommodation? Even though being under him causes anxiety and stress and could trigger a depressive episode. It is just a change on paper at my work. All I would do is report to someone else. Nothing else changes. I can’t believe they are doing this to me. Others in my group have changed sections just by asking so why can’t I? I need this change.

Unfortunately, they are right under the law (Americans with Disabilities Act). but if others switched sections just by asking, instead of invoking the ADA, you can try that, too.

Yes the ADA exists but it’s more bark than bite for all the lil guys.
They are probably wanting you to quit , which companies know ways of firing people and it not be “ against” your right to accommodate Sucks
