Hello everyone,
I have decided to pursue my masters degree. I have to take the GRE and do really great to be accept into the college I have in mind. I am requesting accommodations for the test. I was e-maied some forms to complete. I have to submit a list of accommodations I would like for approval. I did a search online and found a few suggested accommodations. Please give me feedback and ideas on accommodations. Also you have testing options: paper test with large print or computer voice with large print. Which sounds better? Thanks in advance, Coco

Not sure about the accommodations, but I took the GREs a couple of years ago on the computer. For me, because I am a fast typer, I found the computer worked well because you have to write some essays. I didn't have a computer voice with large print, but if you are an auditory learner that could help. If you do well having a physical copy of something (sometimes that helps me to stay focused if I get lost while reading) then the paper could be a good option. Good luck!!

I finished my doctorate Summa Cum Nothing in the University of Life.
But I know one thing. If I'm very comfortable I don't pay attention and flunk. I work much better on short deadlines and a lot of pressure. I forget about everything else and concentrate in the matter at hand. Otherwise, my mind floats to booze and *****s.

The computer is a hit or miss.
I took the GRE on the computer in 2012. If you do well, the questions get progressively harder, making it difficult to achieve a perfect score. If you start to get some questions wrong, though, the questions get progressively easier, making it less likely for you to get a terrible score. I'm not sure how the paper test works, but I can't imagine the paper test getting "harder" or "easier". I don't know if that's what you mean by paper with large print vs computer voice, but I just thought I'd chime in about that. |

I'm more of a reading person, so paper test is best for me.
I'd ask for more time and a quiet room. |
