It's good that you brought up the subject.

I've been meaning to tell you that I'm using Arnica for my over abused body.
All of it. To the point of taking the pills to save some cream.

Christina, it works. I have no affiliation with this product of whatsoever.
Besides, you know I won't lie to you.
I've heard of people using it for fibro. Maybe you're familiar with it.
If not, try it. Around ten bucks in Amazon. They have the cream, the gel and the pills.
I'm using the three of 'em.

Same goes to my good friend Wild Coyote.
Dam, it works. It won't cure. The pain comes back, but it helps again.
Don't dispair, if it not this, something else will help you. I'm sure.
We need you in your best shape. Selfish, I know.

Wishing THE VERY BEST for you.

Forgot to tell you about Voltaren. It's works way better than the Lidocaine patches.
Only problem is the price. Arounf 200 dollars and insurance does not cover it.
I got it from my Mother, GRHS. She got it thru Medicaid.
But when she passed, October last year, I also lost my supply of it.
Find out if you can get a hold of it. Better than Arnica fer sure, but unaffordable.
I'll let you be now. Bedtime for the good boys.

I definitely do.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia maybe a year after my daughter was born, around 9 years ago.

When I have a flare, it is the worst. Things like illness, seasonal allergens (we get a lot of them living in a warm climate where it rarely freezes), stress can cause a flare.
Sometimes the sensation of the shower water hitting my skin hurts me or even the air going past when I'm walking or on an elliptical trainer (back when I could afford a gym). The heat causes it to worsen as well.

I used to be on meds that helped more, but they turned out to have NSAIDs in them. I'm sure I found that out reading the info sheet when they were first prescribed and then just forgot the info or thought, big deal. But it was a big deal. There were periods I was taking the max dosage daily, along with maybe 2 doses of Excedrin or Motrin for sinus headaches, and that contributed to the perforated ulcer I got (combined with a bacterial infection, Heliobacter pylori, which contributes to most ulcers as well. I can't have NSAIDs for the rest of my life because of the risk of more ulcers. Especially since my ulcer gave me no symptoms other than such minor heartburn I didn't think it worth going to my primary care doctor or even using OTC medication, it is dangerous for me because I just didn't know I had an ulcer at all and thought it was just stress causing the heartburn.

Now, I just get Gabapentin (not sure if it does much) and a muscle relaxer (tizanidine). The tizanidine at least works for muscle relaxation though causes me some fatigue if I take more than 1 tablet at a time (I can take up to 4 a day, if needed). I wish we had the money to afford acupuncture. That actually helped me with pain (I got horrible pain in my sacroileac joint near the end of my pregnancy that didn't go away with birth or physical therapy) and did acupuncture because we could afford it then as hubby had a much better job, but you have to keep up with it, that's the problem. Same with massage. But I also had a sexual abuse incident in a massage parlor (a nice place, well advertised, in a good area of town, not shady at all), and that has put me off massages, especially when the DA refused to prosecute. (It was basically my word against his & it was unfortunately at a point of relapse with my eating disorder. Also, the DA was extremely sick at the time and soon passed away, so I'm sure it was some assistant DA in charge of the case, probably looking to get the coming opening for the DA job and wanting to have a higher solve rate with crimes and not try something iffy. They never even let me go to a grand jury with it.) I don't know. Maybe if I tried massage with a female masseuse it would be OK now, but on the other hand, I don't want to trigger panic attacks or PTSD (the atmosphere could definitely cause that), and I can't afford massage anyway right now.

The pain affects my BP and anxiety too.

I have constant chronic pain. Definitely my back - excruciating. Pain all over my body and a strong tendency toward migraines. The pain has become so severe that it's hard to walk much of the time. I also experience extreme exhaustion. I suspect I have fibromyalgia, but haven't spoken with my GP about it because I figure she'll just blow me off and I'll feel very discouraged..."Your blood work looks fine."

My mom had fibro and my sister has it. I have been using something lately that does offer a decent amount of relief, at least for my back. It's called Topricin Fibro cream. I'm tremendously skeptical about creams and such, but this one really helps. Has a number of ingredients, including arnica and belladonna.

I hate taking NSAIDS, but oftentimes I do so. If I didn't I wouldn't be able to do anything but lie down or sit.

For awhile now, my constant pain is from RSIs (repetative stress injuries), involving my arms. Especially elbows. Especially the left, where it is unrelentingly painful. Not here to whine (as this may seem minor to some), but popped on to say I use the Voltaren gel, and find it *some* help, but not as much as I would wish. I'm also on oral diclofenac (Voltaren is a gel form of diclofenac). Since I'm maxxed out on nsaids (diclofenac is an nsaid), I'll add tylenol on the worst days because I don't want to take that all the time too.

Arthritis is involved too (I've got hip and back experience with that as well). I think the Voltaren was more effective when it was "just" the arthritis in my elbow (ie., before the RSIs piled on).

Anyhow, just thought I'd mention my experience with it.

My back and neck is all jacked up. I swear I sit here all day trying to pop my neck. lol. I take diclofenac, tramadol, and soma, but they cut the dose on tramadol and soma so it's been a bit rough. Withdrawals have been bad. Trying to do the normal life stuff but I just want to sit here and do a bunch of nothing cause it feels like electricity is running through my body. lame. I think I have something else medical going on but I just don't care anymore. All of it is kinda depressing but I try to stay positive. It can be hard at times.
