I have cooked dinner the last two nights. This is the first time in 4 years that I have cooked something. I used to love to cook but then the illness kicked in and I stopped. Things are still a struggle at work and being tired and overwhelmed. Baby steps I guess. I am just so shocked that I cooked.

Thanks for this!

That's great news! Yes, baby steps. Don't get too disappointed if you don't want to cook again for a while. Or if you want to nudge yourself, think of all the pleasure you got from certain steps and its completion, and taste. Treat yourself to something you really like that you rarely eat otherwise. It need not be an involved meal to prepare.
