Raging Vortex encouraged me to post this.

I rarely go to the movies so I don't keep up with what's out. The exception is when I'm with my best friend and she usually brings the movie.

What are movies you think are funny? Maybe next time I will have a surprise for her.

Well, I'm not too up on current movies, (we watch a lot of movies on dvd from the library), so can't help with that, but here are some older ones... (The first two we own, and we're pretty picky about only owning things worthy of multiple viewings.)

Noises Off (A local theatre company does a play where things go increasingly and hilariously wrong. John Ritter, Carol Burnett, Michael Caine etc.)

Blades of Glory (Will Ferrell, Will Arnett, Amy Poehler, Jon Heder)

Also, of course a couple really old classics are of course Airplane and Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Some of the Mr. Bean ones are solid, but I don't remember well enough to quote which titles.

Will try to think of others.

Innerzone suggested Airplane, which was the movie that popped into my head first. It's an older movie, but brilliantly hilarious. I thought Meet the Parents was also a very funny movie, and Borat.

I just watched grown ups last night and laughed through the whole thing! There’s tons more but I figured since I just watched that one I’d mention it. I like role models too.

We watched The Fluffy Movie, which is his and found it funny. And you know what? I'd learned of it on another thread quite awhile back asking for funny movies(!)

Edited to add... Thought of another one: RV. We normally avoid "family movies" like the plague, but this one has Robin Williams, so we gave it a try and it was really funny!

their's also the southpark movie.

in my opinion it was made too early on in the show's history, but the movie is still funny with a good storyline and songs

*wishes for a family guy and big bang movie*
