Wow, almost gone through my 2 week am/pm pill box...just noticed that my 200 mg lamictal am pill is missing. :/

I’ve been taking my nightly 100 which has saved me from total withdrawals.

I’m going through withdrawals. This explains the acute symptoms from no where the other night and my present mood. Resuming dosage today, hopefully it gets better.

Question is: should I take half the 200 morning pill for awhile or the whole dose?

I popped a whole pill this morning before I started wondering.

I’m at work, so interaction is impossible. Thanks.

I looked it up on the internet, and it seems it is OK to cut it in half as long as it is not XR though you probably should contact your pdoc about it as soon as you can. If not over the weekend, on Monday then.

I would recommend calling your pharmacist. They should be able to tell you what is safe in terms of dosing.

I hope this does not mess with you too much!

I'm also encouraging you to contact your pharmacist. This is a very important question/topic, especially considering the nature of Lamictal.

As cln has also pointed out, never cut an extended release tablet.

I hope all goes well for you.
Nice to see you posting here.
Have a good weekend!

Thanks you all....it’s not extended release thank God...

But....I called the pharmacist, and after being placed on hold for several minutes.....they told me to call my doctor.

So...I’m probably going to have to work my way back up again.
