Sorry to hear about your mother in law's passing. It's tough not to have family you can turn to when you need help. My son also was getting his resume filtered out, or at least he didn't get any phone calls about positions until he paid $200 for professional advise from a skilled resume person who also was in the same field and new what to put in a resume and how to get that information from him. It sounds like your husband may need several targeted resumes depending on the position he is applying for.

If you can find a way to work at least a few hours a week, you might start to feel more optimistic that this situation can be turned around and you won't be in this position for long. Every long voyage starts with the first steps and it doesn't really matter how big the steps are as long as they are in the right direction.
