I feel so nauseous. It's because I ate breakfast at 7:10am and then took my meds at 9am. Basically, I'm supposed to take my meds *with* food, but I had to go to the chiropractor this morning because I had fallen down 8 steps of stairs and my back is all f***ed up. So I got to work at 9am on the dot and took my meds in the car. (I wasn't thinking straight about the food and the med timing.)

Now that my vision is all wonky (double vision) and my balance is way off, I'm nauseous. It's as if I just got off an amusement park ride that spins really fast. This is EXACTLY how I fell down the steps over the weekend—the double vision and balance issues. So now I'm THAT lazy asshole at work who takes the elevator from the first floor to the second floor instead of taking the stairs.

The worst part of it all is that I'm still at work. I want to throw up now, but between that feeling and my double vision, I can't drive home. The best I can do is sleep in my car and hope to God I don't throw up.

I'm currently relaxing in a chair and have my feet up on a coffee table in a conference room. It helps, but not much. I'm just typing this to distract myself. I have to sit completely still.

Why can't I do anything right? I'm having the most awful day. Almost hit 2 times today while driving, this double vision, balance issues, nausea, not getting any work done, my giant scab from flaling down the stairs got ripped off (sorry for tmi). Also, my replacement credit card got lost in the mail when I checked the tracking and called my credit card company about it.

I am sorry you are having a rotten day. When you fell down the stairs and dizzy...was it the same reason not taking your meds with food or some other reason. You may need to be checked out.
worried about you.

This sounds concerning. Can you call your doctor, and did you tell them you fell? I think it is wise to not drive. Are there any taxis or Ubers you can take home or to your doctors? Maybe someone you can call to pick you up? Please be careful.

bluebicycle, I definitely know what the double vision is all about. I experienced it off and on with my Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER). Often in the beginning. Do be careful. Can someone take you home or pick you up if it persists? I agree that you should talk to your doctor about it. I recently had my Tegretol XR decreased from 1400 mg to 1200 mg and it made a difference. I had been taking 1400 mg for several years. Things change.

I hope your back recovers soon and your stomach feels better.

I'm very sensitive to changes in my medication taking times, too. I'm a 7 am and 7 pm med taking person. Breakfast and dinner on the dot.

Could you take the day off? I'm worried you might fall again. I agree with everyone here...especially talking to pdoc and taking an uber or taxi home.

Are these symptoms med side-effects?

Please be very careful.
I am very concerned about you.
