At least one good moment of the day, or maybe more...

I don't care if you are feeling good or bad today, I'm sure there was at least one good moment in your day. Probably many. Care to list any? It can be even the smallest little speck of good, but it must be good. I'll start.

* Rain was falling today. The sound of it pouring down soothed me. It was actually kind of fun walking with my umbrella.

* I felt a little chilly, so I climbed in bed under the covers. I'm so warm. It feels yummy.

* Almost every single time I look at my bird boy, he is looking at me. He thinks I'm the center of his universe.

* I bought salmon for dinner. Yum! I also bought snow peas. Hubby LOVES snow peas. They're just a teeny little thing in this world, but they make him smile, if only for a moment.

* I like the hair cut I got today, and three people have already complimented it. I'm sure hubby will, too.

-My mom walking in the recovery room to take me home
-My dog jumping on me when I got home
-Eating mint ice cream

-my dog was so happy to hang out with me all day
-I got a pumpkin-shaped cookie from Panera
-I didn’t do anything to jeopardize my career today

As I type this, there is a little Pomeranian dog snuggled up next to me on the sofa, and two puppies in a basket only 10 feet from me.

My husband and I are going away for 2 days.

I know this may seem weird and stupid, but after a long time of being constipated, I FINALLY went to the bathroom. I was afraid I was damaging my insides after nothing I tried worked (Senna, colace, bisacodyl, miralax (since I KNEW miralax tends to give me diarrhea... but it didn't this time)).

I set up an appt with the GI doctor to figure out what is wrong with my bowels, but most importantly, why I get nausea and discomfort sometimes when I eat. (I was so anxious to admit to the bowel issues when the GI receptionist asked what was wrong, so I overcame extreme anxiety. I had to give intimate details.)

I also cleaned up my stove (lots of burnt oil/grease stuck to it) and my sink, along with dirty dishes.

Working on doing laundry now

I moved back to Houston after losing my job. I was at an event today where I saw a lot of people I worked with when I was first here. They were all SO excited I was back and telling me how fortunate Houston was to have me back. I was so taken back. One person even had an interaction with one of the people that helped get rid of me after I quit. Without knowing the circumstances of my departure she told me how unprofessional this person was and couldn't understand why she was in the position she held. Gave me a lot of validation when I still feel so defeated from what happened.

With all of this it has fed into the social butterfly aspect of my high state. I was invited out with some of them, which I would normally love and partake in wine With the DWI and now knowing how alcohol affects my depression I declined even though I craved going.

bluebicycle, I'm glad you got a little break.

Today I saw my psychiatrist, and the appointment ended on a good note. Afterwards I went to an ice cream parlor and ordered an amaretto ice cream with Mounds candy blend-in. I didn't feel guilty for the splurge because it tasted so darned good. Almost orgasmically good.

Despite feeling irritated in general at work and in life in general sometimes love when I get outside and walk which was 3 times today. Walked twice at work on break and 30-40 mins when came hone walked
my dog.

I had pizza for the first time since Labor Day and it tasted soooooooooooooo good! Also bought a pre-sale ticket to see a favorite musician and i'm in the front row!

yesterday:

- watched a new cartoon I'd not seen before

I slept well and didn’t wake up feeling anxious about work for a change.

I got out to a coffee shop. It was nice to get a break from this apartment.

I did some pampering yesterday. Bought some Sephora makeup and used my points for a gift. Got a pedicure/manicure. It felt good.

what's more, it was one I destroyed out of anger- so I am now glad I have a new copy, and I am going to take care of it (she says)

I emailed my brother about using his databases from work. This felt good because I finally found a subject ( research about meds issues) we can relate about.

The new automatic cat feeder is working. Cat still perplexed. Very funny.

Nominated a neighbor for county good neighbor challenge.

My t is going to look into meds changes to suggest to pdoc because pdoc is always rushing.

SO and I had great dinner out and discussed our Dec Andrea Bocelli concert.

It has changed into the season for nice weather here in Phoenix.

I've been kinda down since my stroke set back but my wife surprised me with the 25th anniversary Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop I've been looking everywhere for. Made my day.

I got up this morning and started it with some quiet time, watching the birds through the window of my reading room.

The sun came in through the glass and touched my face. I closed my eyes and felt the warmth of it across my cheeks.

It was beautiful.
