so another self care thread... I thought I'd ask the question.

do you wear clean clothes every day?. is it something you do every other day?, does it really matter?

I have to wear clean clothes every day- I have to. even if I don't feel like getting dressed or moving, I have too- I think because I only shower once a week (if that), and it's my way of.. looking after myself?, I guess?, so I'm not going around in smelly clothes

plus I love the feel of clean clothes on the skin fresh from the laundry. it's nice

With me, It depends on if I even get dressed, or stay in my P.J's, and if the cloths that I choose to ware have gotten dirty. Some days I don't do anything to get some cloths dirty. Also the beginning of this month we had to buy new/used washer, and dryer, bc the ones we bough brand new 3&1/2 years ago broke down about 4 months ago, and it was cheaper to buy ore, than to have the ones we had fixed, and I had to work it into our budget. $ wise, and all the way around, this has been a very bad year. We won't even be having Christmas bc of $. I still have to pay the rest of the vet bill from yesterday, and our property taxes by the 4th of Dec. So next month will be very difficult to get through money wise. Even the wood splitter that I ordered, received, and will be paying payments on, came the beginning of this month, but when we opened it, it was broken. I bought it off e-bay via pay pal, so now I have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get one that works. The very bad thing for us about the wood splitter is that we are disabled, we were counting on that splitter for our wood burning stoves for heat, bc it has already gotten cold here, and has been since around Halloween. Anyway back to your question, I guess it mainly depends on my mood and what I have going on. I want to say yes, that I shower, get dressed, and wear clean cloths every day, but to be honest, I can't say that. (((((((BIG HUGS)))))))

This is my routine. Monday thru friday I wear clean scrubs for work.
On the weekends I wear regular clothes which I don't wash unless they are dirty.
I always wear clean undies and socks every day.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but when in deep depressions I will take a shower every day, but put the same clothes back on. That being said, I am unemployed and alone. I am talking about Pajama type clothes. If I'm going out, I'll put on clean clothes. I know it's kind of counter productive but in my head it doesn't matter. I could wear the same clothes until they rotted off my body when I'm low. Mind you, I'm never very up, so I've been known to go months wearing a white T shirt that literally is almost grey and underwear (and in the winter, pajama pants).

I change my clothes when I shower and when I go to church, otherwise I wear the same shirt and leggings for days at a time. I even sleep in my clothes because it's too much trouble to change into PJs every night. Sad, isn't it?

Unless my clothes are dirty or smelly I wear them multiple times, except underwear. If I’m going out I might wear clean clothes just to dress up a bit. When at home alone anything goes though as I just don’t care. My dress code is for everyone else.

I change my underwear, t-shirts and jumpers daily but my jeans weekly unless they get grubby. I change my pjs weekly. When I'm manic or depressed I go either way either changing too much or not enough

I don't do a lot, but I do wash clothes daily, and I wear clean clothes every day. The only exception is something like a coat, sweater (outwear), things I don't wash on a daily basis. Now, if something happened and I spilled something on myself, got rained on & muddy fairly late in the day and needed to change, then I usually do re-wear the shorts, jeans before washing, not the top though.

What do you mean by clean clothes?

Because I don't wear DIRTY clothes, but... I do not wash clothes after one wear, which I know some people do.

It has nothing to do with my bipolar, it has to do with me
a) not really enjoying spending time washing clothes
b) over here we are not clean freaks, so it's considered normal to wear a skirt/jeans/sweatshirt few times before wearing it, unless you fall in the mud or spill something on it
c) I like to preserve my clothes and washing them after I had them on few hours and they are still clean, will just wear and tear them

So yeah, i wear clean clothes, but not "one wear before washing again" clothes.

I pretty much stay in my PJs unless I'm going somewhere I feel the need to wear regular clothes, which is about three times a week on average.

I always change into fresh clothes everyday even if it's a weekend. I don't care if I am in a nasty depression I am putting on clean clothes and panties. I might not have showered that week but at least something is fresh.

Nowadays I go to work in work clothes, come home change into a pair of leggings and old tee shirt and chill before jumping into the shower; which I take almost daily. I do sometimes skip a shower on Saturday night to conserve water, but I always put on fresh clothes out of the shower. This is honestly the one thing I care about depressed or not.

I take a shower and put on clean clothes daily. I am in currently in a depression but showering makes me feel better even if it`s just putting on clean pajamas. I sometimes shower twice a day but I think that has mostly due to my OCD.

I was between every day and every 2 to 3 days. I usually always wear fresh underwear, even if I don't shower a lot, but bras, shirts, and especially jeans are reworn a couple to a few days depending on how much I sweat, if I sweat. I usually also wear the same pajamas 2 or 3 days in a row. Actually, I have always worn the same pajamas at least two days in a row, again, unless I sweat in them.

New jammies/shorts etc daily .. if I go to the store in jeans and a shirt etc unless somehow they get dirty I’ll wear them again.

But shower daily = fresh lazy clothes.

I have a fan on all the time when I'm in my room. It provides moving air and white noise which helps me sleep. Oddly enough, I'm cold all the time so no worries about getting too hot in the night.
