I take a full dose of Abilify daily. I'm beginning to suspect...its harming my ability to concentrate, and I think along the way it making my depression worse and possibly causing a whole new form of...I don't know...anxiety, subtle akathisia, something like that.

20mgs/abilify per day. no tics, twitches, tardive dyskinesia, stiff gait, etc. so, on that end...I'm thankful, trust me. But...the antipsychotics/neuroleptics as a class are notorious for causing varying degrees of cognitive impairment, depression, even straight up despair.

what do you all think? the other deal is...I'm kind of wondering if...if it wasn't for the vitamins, antioxidants, etc...if perhaps I'd have far more severe reactions to the stuff. I think a lot of what made Orthomolecular "work" isn't that it corrects anything, but I think it does reduce the toxicity of any psych drugs one takes along with the vitamins. intuitively, and also based on what little research ive been able to Google up....that makes sense, to me.

High anti psychotic dosages can push people to far the other way. That being said I am on the same dose of Abilify as you are. It has been a god send for me at 20mg. At 30mg it caused shakiness.

Yeah,I totally get this. Zyprexa kills my energy. Makes me tired throughout the day and impossible to get up. I have a minor shakiness in my fingers. Nothing like the tremors and twitches I had on haldol and saphris.

Well, they suppress dopamine right? So our dopamine is being blocked. It takes more for us to experience pleasure. I don't know what the solution is. Its apparent I need an AP. I wish I took drugs that made me feel good and happy .
