Hi all,
In the past I have had a couple partial seizures of temporal lobe origin, but a few days ago had my first experience of secondary generalisation and had a brief tonic/clonic (grand mal) seizure. I had had a lot to drink.
My neurologist now wants to start me on Keppra and cease Lamictal. I've heard there can be psychiatric side effects.
Anyone taking Keppra?
I'm taking the Lamictal for both partial seizures and bipolar and my mood has been stable for a long while now. He wants me off Lamictal for future plans to try to convince given its teratogenic effects.

I don’t have any specific advice on this but I’m sure some one will come along that does soon.

i was on it briefly about 15 years ago but developed a rash and had to stop it. I wasn't on it long enough for it to work well but I remember it helped some with anxiety and had few side effects until the allergy (which happens with a fairly large percentage of meds for me so nothing to worry about).

I hope someone else can tell you more.

Tried it briefly. Could not tolerate it.
I hope it works well for you!
