Anyone using Saphris for breakthrough episodes of hypomania or mania?
Also experiences?

I took it for 2 nights , first night it knocked me right out. The taste is gawd awful tho.

2nd nite sent me right into a asthma attack , so bad I had to go to the ER.

I know it’s a great Med for some people.

I was not impressed. Did not help with hypomania and added yet more pounds.

Not for me.

Hi! This drug did not help my depression,or anything else for that matter. Itvdid however make me sleep a lot. I put on weight too. I had to stop it.

Only had one dose. Kept me up all night (literally, zero sleep) with the worst restless legs of my life. Also wobblieness, so I couldn't "walk it off". Not for me, but works for others. Everyone says the taste is terrible, but I dunno. If you can handle that numbing Chloroseptic throat spray, you can handle the taste of Saphris, lol. Totally what it reminded me of.

Thanks everyone. I might just stick to Seroquel.
I’m embarrassed to admit it but last week when I had to take extra prn Seroquel to manage the hypomania I slept so deeply that I wet the bed.
So I’m looking for an option that I can take that puts me into a sleep when I’m manic but not too deep a sleep - if that makes sense?

Forgot to add that my pdoc is reluctant to play around with my current med mix and making any changes would involve me going IP.

That deep, deep, impossibly deep sleep phase of Seroquel may be transient. You may become accustomed to it.

That said, I always vote for Zyprexa if you need "sleep when manic, but not too deep a sleep" and in general vote for Zyprexa as the #1 goto anti-manic prn.
