Started about 1am and despite 3 straight up hot showers nothing is helping and I want to claw my skin off I’m bleeding in some area. I have taken 5 1 mg Xanax since then and might as well be bloody tictacs.

I’d had it before but not to this degree, I’m so bad I’m thinking ER but they won’t do more than give me a Ativan , useless !!!

I’ve tried every trick in the book and it’s all a utter failure.

I’m so sorry Christina! I’ve never had them but I can imagine how upsetting it must be. I hope they abate for you soon! Try to hang in there! Do APs help?

I literally have tried one of each AP I have and nothing Yes I know not good but I don’t need more dripping blood areas. A few are going to freak my husband out and that the last thing I need right now.

My my prns ??? are useless.

I can see why people get so suicidal over it I’m halfway there.

Thanks

I'm really sorry too! I've never experienced hallucinations before. Well one time, but I had just thought I heard someone calling my name and it was dark and I was taking my garbage out and I had just got done watching a movie about Charles Manson. Lol.

Aps aren't helping at all?

Do you have Haldol? They gave me a shot of it once in the ER during an episode.

I used to get the feeling of bugs crawling on my scalp, and I’d itch it all day to make it stop. It was bad. It started when I was young. I kept asking my parents to check for lice, but nothing.

Instead of scratching, what about massaging in circles or grabbing a chunk of your skin and temporarily squeeze it (but not too much force)?

PRNs don’t help me either

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, ~Christina It must be terrible. Please don't give up. If no meds are working, please do consider going to ER. Even if it doesn't help much, it's at least better than nothing and you'd be hopefully safe. I'm so sorry, I know it's hard. Don't give up hope. I hope things will get better soon for you. Is there anything we can do to help you? Please let us know. You're in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you'll feel better soon. You don't deserve to suffer like this. Try to hang on. You can do this! You're strong, I know that. I believe in you. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

Oh dear, Christina -

Sounds horrific!

Does an antihistamine help at all?

So sorry I am just seeing this. I was too tired to sign in last night.

Thinking of you.
Love and Prayers,

WC

Oh man, just saw this! Upon seeing the title, said "oh no!!" right aloud in the work lunchroom. I really feel for you! Are you doing ok today?

I had a time having that quite bad, though yours sounds worse, I can hardly imagine. I remember after a big shower, slathering hydrocortisone cream all over. Can't remember if it helped, as I was in a state. Might be something to try if you have it on hand (though hopefully this time has mellowed, but for the future).

Lots of

It’s slightly less . I literally have a pharmacy at my fingertips and nothing helps , hot showers are doing nothing. I have tried virtually every pill i have and nothing. So I have just resorted to just snacking on Xanax and neurontin. Being a bit loopy helps a bit . I have numerous area that I scratched so hard bleeding bad had to bandage it all up. Luckily hubby won’t see them.

He’s mentioned the hospital a few times I laughed

Er ,.. what are you having trouble with

Me ......I have bipolar and tactile Hallucinations.

Dr so Bipolar ? (looking now down at me like I’m a pos ) You will just have to let it run it’s course but I’ll give you a Ativan that should help, have a good morning, afternoon, night. ( running out the door) total he was in the room 58 seconds.

1 week later bill comes $1356.89 and the Ativan was 36.00

Yeah so I’ll snack on my stuff

Fml atm
