I was doing well and then I decided to try a 2.5 mg zyprexa last night because I hadn't taken it in awhile. Zyprexa is supposed to be as needed. I didn't really need to take it. But and hr after taking it I felt anger and rage and I'm glad I was alone or I would have been agressive, I'm not even making that up. That was my experience when I took seroquel and didn't take it in awhile. But this was worse. This was awful. I locked myself in my room and his under the blankets. I kept thinking of everyone I was mad at and HATED everyone and even cars driving by made me want to smash things. I'm better now but still angry. I hate that ****. Remembering back, it did make me irritable when taking it regularly. The snow plows right now are driving me crazy. Ugh!!

That is strange. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone becoming more aggressive after taking an AP. Usually they have a calming effect on people. But we are all different and anything is possible.

That's unusual---a paradoxical reaction to a med that stops most of us in our tracks. Then again, Benedryl is supposed to make a person drowsy, but I get wired on it and then have bad dreams when I finally do go to sleep. Anything is possible. I wouldn't take the Zyprexa again if I were you.

Have you had an experience like this before while on Zyprexa? It does sound like a paradoxical reaction. When do you see your pdoc next? You should mention it to them and of course not take it again in the meantime. Take care. Sounded like a horrible experience.
