I already posted in the work and careers section. Now I'm here. I post all over the place. I'm excited to beat hell and super nervous. I've done different bits of work in my life, mostly Cna. But I was a prep cook briefly, a housekeeper in a hotel that also had a bar and dance floor, and I did telemarketing for a while.. now on Thursday I have a job interview at Wal-Mart. I've never done retail. I'm pretty sure they are looking at me for the 4 am fresh food stocking and price change person, but there was mention of deli and bakery. Being a Cna I can *kinda* deal with people. And having done prep I've worked with a slicer, but my boyfriend works the deli and he has to do rotisserie chicken use a big fryer other hot foods make sandwiches and salads and other stuff I've never done. Realistically I can handle these tasks but my anxiety and panic are sticking their noses in and getting in the way of logical thought. And I'm worried about other stuff. Clothes to wear. I have barely anything that fits decent. I'm obese. And self conscious. 2 pairs of maybe acceptable jeans. Maybe only 1. Possibly only 3 shirts. Gotta wash everything. They been just hanging in my closet I've been living in pj bottoms and tank tops and hoodies for years...
I gotta do my nails and at least attempt a little eye makeup for the interview. And maybe tuck in my septum ring. Tho I see other people there with piercings. Ugh. Maybe it's all this newness lately. I'm getting mixed reviews from people cause it's not Cna work but my God I need to pay my bills and buy groceries and supplies. I can't sit and wait any longer!!! People can be so judgy.

I hope your interview goes well! It sounds like you have plenty of skills and experience for this job and no matter what you are doing a job is a job and its something to be proud of.

Try not to stress too much and definitely let us know how it goes!!

Just go in and let it rip. The best thing you can do is treat it like it's *not* an interview. It's just a conversation between two people.

It's not till tomorrow at 130. I'm so wound up! Trying to relax myself. Getting in the shower soon. Already have everything set up for tomorrow. All ready to go!

Thanks everyone, sincerely! I'm super excited to go in and get started and see how things work. My boyfriend tells me the first week is mostly computer time. Watching videos and doing tests and things. Plus swamping through the paperwork.. I'm seriously excited tho!! For once I want a weekend to hurry!! Lol!!
