Am I the only one that sees their T twice a week and their pdoc once a week? It has been like this for years now. I remember a time when I only saw my pdoc every 6 months. I don’t think I will ever get back to that point.
Also has anyone else ever notice a personality change? I know mine has changed and I don’t like this new me. |

I had a few times in the past seen my T twice a week for short amount of time when working on trauma.
My Pdoc will do Med changes over the phone so I’m grateful. I don’t need to see him more than every 3 months. Maybe your meds are to blame for feeling so changed ?? __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

At one point I was seeing my T three times week; granted that was at a very very low point back when he first realized I had PTSD and I really needed it.
At one point I was seeing my primary doc once a week when he and I first realized I was having issues. I am now a the point where I get to see my Cardiologist biweekly. I hated seeing my T that much; I hated being that dependent on a doctor; and honestly I am sick of seeing of my Cardio I do everything right yet my heart basically laughs in my face. __________________ Generalized Anxiety Disorder Depression Symptoms of PTSD Trintellix 10mg once daily Buspar 10mg three times daily |

I can only see a T every other week and pdoc once a month. If I need more I have to do IOP.

At one point I was seeing a therapist 4 days per week for 90 minute sessions. This was how he kept me out of the hospital. I felt really bad, especially when I realized he gave me his lunch break to get those long sessions but they saved me. I had no pdoc at the time or I'dd probably have been o a tight leash there too. I was dangerously depressed ad by the end I was't.. It was like my own IOP..

I used to see my T once a week when I was more unstable. Never saw my pdoc more than once a month, because she wanted to be sure the meds were working first. Having more interaction for me was important because I was having a hard time regulating my emotions after the breakdown.

I see my therapist once a week and my pdoc every six weeks. I wish I could see my pdoc sooner than that, but it is what it is I guess.

I see my therapist once a week now, it was every two-four but she gave me a set time each week recently. Not sure why she decided on that but after a recent session she said she wanted to see me every week. I was seeing a psychiatrist every one to four weeks when I was really unstable, but I was unstable because of the meds so makes sense. I actually do not see one at all for the time being somehow they discharged me from their care unless I need to go back on meds. Currently figuring out what is going on with my therapist and working out if I really have bipolar or just OCD and depression and what to do about meds vs therapy. Does it help you to see them that often? If so that's what matters I think.
Sometimes I feel like my personality has changed like when I am really irritable it doesn't feel like me, but I am not sure it is my personality vs just unmanaged mental illness. |

see my pdoc between 2 or 3 months depending on how I am doing ... was seeing a T weekly because I am so withdrawn from everyone and everything my pdoc felt I needed an outlet ...
but three visits a week .... my copay would be $60 and way out of my budget ... and I would have to miss so much work ... just not going to happen for me ... but glad it works for you ... peace my friend .. Tigger . |
