I know I can't do anything to change my past and I cannot do anything to change other people but I got into a situation where I had to call my brother, the psychologist (he treats the worried well only I believe) to get me out of the situation. I didn't want to call him because I knew what he would say (that I'm still not stable).

I was trying to help a friend. She called me to pick her up and said to call the cab company and she would pay my fair to come to her and drive her home. I go and pick her up and she's not there, but her car is and so are the police. Turns out she didn't tell me the woman she was driving with had a crack pipe in the car somewhere...so my friend goes to jail, not the woman who's pipe it was (someone's lying to me somewhere).

So I have no money to pay for the cab, the cab driver says he's going to let the cops deal with it. I don't have my phonebook with me and don't memorize numbers anymore. The only number I can remember is my brothers. I wouldn't have asked for his help, but I knew he would abeit a lot of lectures and grief. He sounded like a bad verson of Dr. Phil. Even though he did help me and I did call him and thank him for helping me and appologized to him for the trouble, he had to remind me of past misdeeds when I was misdiagnosed and on the wrong meds.

Okay, so I made a bad decision to go and help this friend. But at the time she called, she wasn't being arrested and I fully expected her to be waiting on me to drive her home (she can't drive, she's on medication that doesn't allow for that).

Anybody been through this? It really sucks! Are there any solutions?

The rest of my family is pretty cool. He was my favorite brother at one time, he's reliable, but I just don't feel the closeness anymore.

I don't do drugs (other than my legal meds), I try and make good decisions and usually do now.

You can't help what other people think. You were helping a friend, I think most of us would do what you did, I would have. You weren't aware of the situation until you got there. Don't blame yourself it wasn't wrong of you to do what you did.
