HI

I am 29 years old, bipolar I, and a lesbian.

I come from a family with three sisters and no brothers. I am the youngest, and the difference in ages with me and my sisters is just less than four years. We have all been declared to be bipolar I, and it all started when we were little girls. My father died in a car accident when I was six, and my mother never dated or remarried after his death.

When we were untreated, we became very abusive with each other and violent. Has this happen in other families as well? Feel free to send me a PM.

This is how my family was. My sister (still untreated) has her times still.

Thank you for understanding. Even that we are sisters, our body shape and height was so identical, people thought we were identical twins when I was just with one of my sisters. The worst time was when we were all depressed, as we took our worst feelings about ourselves on each other. There was abuse there. We got violent when we were manic, as how do you really keep two or three manic sisters in the some house.

Hi! Welcome to PC ! : )

It must be very difficult if/when all three of you have a major mood swings. My heart goes out to you.

My H and I both live with BP II . It has gone very well, until recently. The recent difficulties really have been related To character/personality differences.

While we both have lived with BPII diagnoses, our experiences with BP are very different from one another.

So glad you are here with us and you have joined in! : ). Looking forward to future posts written by you!
