I am no longer anemic! I follow up with the hematologist next week. Bloodwork looks good. Still a bit high ong RDW (has to do with red blood cell size), but heading down toward normal. I have a feeling he will have my PCP check iron level stuff every 3 months or so at least for awhile (they are part of the same system, can read labs from one another though I gave they both signed consents). I hope this infusion series got my iron up, and I won't have to do it again. Hopefully, I can absorb some iron and supplements (bother stomach though) and eating iron rich foods (though not liver, can't stand it) will help.

Fingers crossed

That's wonderful news. I'm glad you won't have to deal with iron issues for a while.

Great news about your iron level! Do you feel a little better with it normalized?

Congrats! (I don't like liver either. Last piece I had wasn't cooked very much and the texture just grossed me out!)

No, and you’d think I would but a few areas are higher than my norm, maybe that’s it I am more emotional though, that’s maybe good and maybe bad.
