Man I’m tired of this. I finally fell asleep after 1am and it’s 4:30 and I’m wide awake. I’ve been having Insomnia issues for months while I was manic but I’m not manic any longer. Hot showers before bed help relax me but not enough. I take melatonin but I’m
Still struggling. A friend also pointed out I need to watch my moods for signs of depression. I haven’t been wanting to do Things. I’ve still been active around the house mostly from necessity. But like I’ve been skipping church activities this last two weeks. It’s not like me. I really cannot deal with any depression. I’ve had a hard enough year being in the hospital three times in the spring (55 days!) I’ve also had a lot more ptsd type stuff happening...not pleasant and that always drags me through the dirt mentally. I’ll just have to amp up the coping skills. __________________ Bipolar 1 w/psychotic features or schizoaffective bipolar type PTSD generalized anxiety OCD celexa, prazosin, Lybalvi and prn zyprexa and klonopin |

I am so sorry you are struggling with this. It's 320 AM here and I have been up for three hours.
There is a terrific article available for free from 2016. It is entitled: The Role of Sleep in Bipolar Disorder. The authors are Alexandra K. Gold and Louisa G. Sylvia. It talks about the issues folks with bipolar disorder face when trying to sleep. It is way, way more than just being manic or being depressed. Might be worth checking out. __________________ When I was a kid, my parents moved a lot, but I always found them--Rodney Dangerfield |

HALLIEBETH and bpcyclist, though I have gotten sleep, and even fall asleep much earlier than my usual, mine has been so interrupted, waking up and then falling asleep again every 1 to 2 hours. I was suspecting autumn as a culprit. Something about the weather feels so odd to me. I can't put my finger on it.

I am so sorry about this struggle! I know the feeling. I’ve been having lots of trouble staying asleep too. I hope you aren’t getting sick again!
