I’m calming down but my dr is still worried I’m a little hypo maybe because I’m pretty energetic and not sleeping. I went to bed around 11pm and was up from 3:30-8am. Then I napped an hr or so and have been up and lively all day!!

HI Hallie, You have been having quite a time lately. It seems like your illness has been somewhat unstable? Of course, you have had some situational stressors, too.

You mention your doctor is worried about you.

Are you worried? Do you have some concerns about your current status?

I hope things settle down for you soon.
Take good care!

How is the new job going? New jobs always were able to trigger some mania for me because there was so much extra going on and so much to learn quickly. I'd get overwhelmed and then my mood would go up trying to compensate.

I’m not really that concerned though I’ve not been sleeping and also been feeling creepy crawlies today.

I’m working on getting my meds back in order.

You seem to be getting some sleep. That's a good sign. As I am told...not every good mood or burst of energy is clinical. You're mood seems to be different at different times. What is your psychiatrist worried about?

I am so sorry you are dealing with this, @HALLIEBETH87. Glad you got some sleep, but 5ish hours is not enough, especially in this situation. I really hope you and the pdoc go after this hard now. At least for me, when it gets going and gets some momentum, it is much harder to deal with. Be well!!

I'm in the same boat and I get very little sleep before I'm off meds but enjoy staying up at night I just Dislike when the morning comes up like now... Hey I've got an idea and go the whole day without sleep again and then sleep all day the next day it's a never ending cycle but the meds make me demotivated to even bathe.

if only I was in complete control of my hypermania I love the saying euphoric and happy. I got so happy that I gambled my whole weeks payment. for the sake of God it's trying to get some sleep.

I told my psychiatrist "sleep is over-rated" after 72 hours of wide awake manic energy and scrubbing the walls of my apt with a toothbrush while dancing to the Irish Rovers. Generally, if I'm just hypomanic my psychiatrist says, "enjoy and keep in touch". He knows instantly the dividing line between enjoyable hypomania and frenetic, out-of-control mania.
