For example, maybe you shop too much. Your shopping frequency may get worse when you're manic of course, but it's still pretty bad even when you're "stable." Or perhaps you're a cleaning freak and enjoy cleaning. (I think I'm turning into a cleaning freak myself.) Things like that.

I don't sleep sometimes when I'm depressed too.

I've mentioned this a few times here, but I believe (and have been told) that my baseline mood state is rather upbeat, positive, and excitable. I can definitely be more candid and impulsive than many people I know, no matter my mood state. Though I can be, at times, hard on myself (perfectionist), I have a healthy self-esteem. I have always been project-oriented, and I often talk and write a lot! My long-time psychiatrist twice said that he thinks my baseline mood is low-level hypomanic, but I don't like to see it that way. I am not a mental illness. Obviously I do have less vibrant days. Even those I try not to label as any form of mental unwellness (i.e. low level depression).

No. I'm pretty steady. I'm a very positive person and I carry lots of energy to get me through my day, but I'm also pretty chill. I have down days every now and again, but mostly I just stay in a positively oriented middle of the road state.

My constant cleaning daily has been considered part of Hypo/mania in the past.

But that’s been pretty much dismissed and is more of a OCD isssue.

So I guess I don’t, unless I’m just not able to notice it.

sometimes I will randomly say something completely out of character.

I'll be doing something (I don't know, reading for instance), and suddenly blurt out, the cat sat on the mat, or meow said the cow, because... I don't know. I just do
