If people count I'm taking my husband and my little ones. We're going full on Swiss Family Robinson on the island.

Assuming people are out I'm going with a knife, rope and a water desalination device.

I’d take my DH, water and a piano.

As there are no parameters....

1 - a fully Creed and we'll stocked sailboat. Quite big, there needs to be a cocktail deck.

2. - a few billion in negotiable bonds. I don't really know what they are, but I think it's better than cash.

3 - my wife. If I'm going to sail the Pacific I'll need her with me.

I'd take:

1. a copy of the book harry potter and the chamber of secrets (for entertainment)

2. a water bottle (so I can fill it up if I find a good water source)

3. a flag, so I can wave it at passing ships and hope to be rescued

Well, definitely my husband.

Practical things: Some kind of fishing rod or hunting tool. I mean, we have to eat. Also, an extremely high-quality tent and a whole bunch of multi-purpose lighters. A quality saw.

Not as necessary, but still desired: A big cooking pot (that's actually kind of practical), a whole bunch of vegetable seeds, a large waterproof box, a very giant container of sugar, whole wheat pasta, coffee beans or loose teas.

Unlike my husband, I don't have major nostalgia for things. I lean towards the practical.

As much as I need my medications, I guess I could leave them home. If I go totally nuts, oh well. I don't know how much I'd suffer with hypothyroidism.
