Here I am a bit after 12 at night. My gf asleep, passed out waiting for me to be ready but couldn't make it. I promised myself that after I wrote this I would force myself to turn out the light, pull up the covers and attempt to rest.

Full disclosure, it's not only restlessness (and lack of tiredness) that's keeping me from going to sleep. Nightmares have been bordering on heart attack worthy. To add to that, I'm hallucinating and the one who grounds me is snoring away (not gonna lie, it's a cute little snore that you barely hear). I don't blame her and I want her to sleep, especially since she's up and out the door in a little over 6 hours from now. I always get up with her, but maybe I'll try for a nap after? I don't know if I'll be tired then. I'm not on a good streak here.

I take Trileptal 150mg 2x a day (no other psychiatric medication) and it's not seeming to be a high enough dose. I'm high now, but it isn't entirely euphoric. I'm fighting some PTSD related issues simultaneously, and I don't know how to adequately describe how it feels when those two mix. If you know, you know, I guess. My brain feels fried from confusion between these things and the hallucinations. The paranoia is taking to a little higher of an extreme, from what I'm told.

Okay, 00:20. Even with noisy as **** neighbors, I need to attempt going to sleep.

I hope you finally got some sleep. Do talk to your psychiatrist if insomnia has been a problem. There are things that can help.
