I keep having these mental breakdowns. Like im laughing and smiling but im saying negative things about myself. It's not a normal panic attack. Im calm. But I feel like im slowly melting. Piece by piece. Is this normal for bipolar disorder? I was just diagnosed and trying to figure it out.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this, pricehaylein. It almost sounds like a mixed type bipolar episode. Please describe this to your psychiatrist when you see them next. If the feeling grows very strong, maybe give their office a call.

Welcome Pricehaylein,

This sounds uncomfortable.
I do not know the answer to your question.
I hope you'll keep posting and, hopefully, we can help you out!

BirdDancer has given you very sound advice! While we try to support one another, it always comes down to communicating with our pdocs/tdocs.

I hope you will find the information and the support you may be seeking.

I hope to see you around!

There's normal for bipolar disorder? So many of our symptoms overlap into other pathologies. It's part of what makes our diagnosis process so exaggerated. I have mixed state issues. I noticed someone else suggesting the same. I'm on a warpath to get some lurasidone, when I come across some euthymia again.

I have the melting moments too. They come out of nowhere and the self talk is horrible. It is hard to take control and redirect my thoughts.

I too was recently diagnosed with Bipolar so seeing all these experiences are eye opening. It's nice to know I am not alone.
