Well hell
I think I’m getting sick.. sore throat, lots of congestion, productive cough. Ugh! Thanks to Facebook memories I was sick exactly 3 years ago. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

Dentists are such con men. They shoo endangered animals demand thousands of dollars up front and wonder why people don't like them.

Thanks ! I think I’ll just wind up with bronchitis, I never can just get a “ cold” Oh dental work is so ridiculous! I needed one crown on top, had to get one on next tooth also for stability. I had no choice but to get a Care credit account to get it done! My friend in Boston goes to a dental school and she’s had a lot of work done and so much cheaper and happy with the work. Is there a dental school near you ? __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I'm so screwed. I signed up for something that I never wanted to sign up for (at work), and I think I've been selected... There were like 100 people who applied for this in our company and well, I think I got it.
Truthfully, there's no guarantee I am accepted, as there is no "congrats! you've been selected" or "sorry, we didn't pick you" email from them. I just got an email that says they're "finalizing everything and will be in touch soon," and to "save the start date." They also said to email them back if I can't make the date so that we can set up another time to meet with them in the office. Gah! I hope this doesn't mean I'm picked, but I'm not too optimistic about that. I think I've been picked since they're asking me to schedule a meeting for an alternative start date "if needed"... But still, I wish they would just tell me YES or NO so that I am not left stewing all weekend long over whether or not I need to prep for this sh_t!! (Thanks, boss, for forcing me to apply for something I never wanted to do...) |

Saw my pdoc today. He upped my Haldol to 15mg and my Lithium to 1125mg.
I see him again in two weeks, where I'll get my levels tested. __________________ |

I just googled dental schools near me. Of course the closest ones are in Philadelphia and Newark (NJ) or NYC. which are about 1 hour plus away. I'm not sure if they offer such an arrangement. After doing calculations, I still believe going to Prague would be the better deal for hubby, even if he had to fly there this month. It's now understandable why some people just go around with teeth missing. |

Feeling a bit more hopeful today. I am again trying a basic type of meditation of counting breaths to try to not get swept away by my thoughts that can be all over the place. I didn't spend much time on practicing basics because I thought I had it down and could advance.
I was unusually calm this afternoon, while doing this basic form as I was out and about doing errands. I don't know if this will work with hypomania for me, but I hope to continue practicing it to have a better foundation when it does come again. In the meantime, I think it helps at least my anxiety. Trying to be more mindful by doing meditation throughout the day, not just when I do a sitting meditation, works better for me to cope. Time will tell... __________________ A virtual to all in a time of physical social distancing! As soon as I know for sure I have an infection I get on meds right away, having asthma I really have no choice unless I want pneumonia. I live in a rural poorish town and I often see people with missing or rotten teeth. Very sad.. It’s crazy your husband can pay to fly to his home country and get work done cheaper than here, I’m glad he has that option ! __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I’ve spent the last few days laying low due to a Fibromyalgia flare-up. Feeling better this morning which is great because I have my cousin’s Engagement party this evening. Big event, 150 people, so I’m both excited, and a little worried I’ll have to leave early due to exhaustion, or anxiety. Overall, I’m positive it will be fun.
Things aren’t going so well between my partner (ex-husband) and I. We just seem to annoy each other. I can see all the reasons we split in the first place and they are mostly problems that can’t be fixed. Long story. I love him dearly but he has no insight into his contribution to our issues, and never takes responsibility for anything. I’m too attached right now to end it, and also he’s in a dark place so I’d hate to abandon him, but it is also not good for my health. It seems we are going in different directions now. The relationship feels doomed. There are many positives. This is just where I’m at right now. Apart from resting I’ve been planning, and organising my year. It all hangs on my health both physical, and mental. I plan to do all I can to have a successful year, and end it employed. __________________ Bipolar 1 with psychotic features PTSD "Phew! My husband left early this morning to meet his friend to attend a free lecture at the university. He said they were also providing bagels, coffee, and juice. I got excited by the prospect of doing my own thing for breakfast. That's something I never get to do. Hubby said "You know, I'd rather have breakfast with you." That translated to "BirdDancer, can you get up earlier than usual this Saturday and put breakfast on the table for both of us?" That kind of frustrated me, so I told him I'd rather he eat it at the lecture hall. He reluctantly did so.
Hubby will present to his friend the almost final product of the project he's worked on for two years. A second job. We were so happy to see that it was almost perfect. Hubby has made a couple minor changes since then to perfect it. His friend, who regularly travels to Europe, will take this first copy with him to present to his client this coming week. I woke up with blotchy red areas on my face. I had one or two small ones yesterday, but it seemed like no big deal. They don't itch, hurt, and they're not swellings or anything. I don't know what they're from. Rosacea? Allergic or stress reaction? Last edited by Anonymous46341; Jan 18, 2020 at 10:40 AM.. |

Went to a dermatologist yesterday and left with several prescriptions. I was mostly going for the rash I have had on my wrist for over 2 months, but it would be nice to get rid of the acne and red splotches on my face. Also, I think I am way less likely to skin pick if my skin is cleared up, so might be an easy way to help with that, too. I also will be getting glasses soon, I picked out a pair in a light tortoise.
I am feeling pretty down and lacking energy. I guess I am depressed, but don't even know. I am also just weirded out by my cognitive issues when I really think about them, but am trying not to dwell. Like, I don't remember faces of people I know sometimes, get lost/disoriented in familiar places, my memory is terrible, my executive function and attention are not good. Add in the sensory issues and I am just confused as to what is wrong with the way my brain is working. Is this really all anxiety/depression related? My gut tells me no, yet maybe I am just underestimating the effects of anxiety. Anyways, really hope that my psychiatry appointment is useful. I am going to try to work on my paper today. Got to get out of bed first and shower. Wishing everyone a nice weekend. |
