Walt Disney World (in Florida) will close through the end of the month. Disneyland (in California) has closed, too, in addition to other Disney parks around the world.
Disney World will still pay its cast members during the closure. And extend ticket durations and is giving refunds to guests. Update on Walt Disney World Resort Operations | Walt Disney World Resort Coronavirus closes Disney as Orlando park hopes to prevent spread I had been wondering about this as Disney Parks gather many thousands of guests every day. (Walt Disney World doesn’t release official attendance numbers. Other parks in cooler climates, like Cedar Point in Ohio, are not open this time of year.) This is only the second time in history that Walt Disney World has closed. The first was September 11, 2001. (My mom and step-dad just got home from a month at Walt Disney World, today.) __________________ Ingrezza 80 mg Propranolol 40 mg Benztropine 1 mg Vraylar 1.5 mg, Gabapentin 300 Mania Sept/Oct 2024 Mania (July/August 2024) Mania (December 2023) Mixed episode/Hypomania (September 2023) Depression, Anxiety and Intrusive thoughts (September 2021) Depression & Psychosis (July/August 2021) Mania (April/May 2019) Last edited by Moose72; Mar 13, 2020 at 05:46 PM.. |

Im glad they plan to continue to pay employees. Such a relief for people. I think more companies will be doing the same.
We have many privately owned resturants in Nashville that have already been feeding Tornados victims for free are going to close in person business and pay there employees.. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I think all theme parks should have closed a month ago because that is when we started seeing an explosion of coronavirus cases here. Plus, I think there was a cruise ship with coronavirus on it that docked in Florida sometime recently. It might've even been a Disney cruise. (I don't know the full details, though.)
Also, considering Singapore has a lot of cases and its weather is around 85F during this time of year, coronavirus will thrive even in Florida, which means it probably won't be a seasonal illness like the flu. I am glad Disney world shut down though. It's for the best. But again, this should have been done a month ago, *especially* since people from all areas of the globe come visit Disney world. Probably a chunk of people from Italy came and infected people already. Same with people who live in northern states who visit Disney world during the winter. Of course it's not Disney's fault that people with coronavirus are visiting, but the moral thing to do was shutdown when Disney Land shutdown in Cali. Nevertheless, I hope your mom and step father are okay. |
