I think that one of the qualities of a ''leader'' is to not make wrong assumptions about people, especially not to........... but I do sometimes make wrong assumptions. I go with my gut and don't censor myself a million times before I say something. I thought that was ''progress'' ... but maybe not. Maybe silence is my ''destiny''

I really like what you said here, Fuzzy. I listened to the British Queen's message and it was so professional, that it made a huge contrast to our president who is constantly bashing people and bragging about himself. He cant even put others first in this time when we all need to be our best selves.
I have a bear story to cheer you up: the people here in Glendale Az are putting stuffed bears in their windows so that the kids can do a Bear Hunt from the sidewalks.

Even silence speaks volumes when leveraged in the right moment. Many leaders have taken that route. The qualities of a leader should serve the team they lead and all teams are different. I believe we can all be leaders of our own lives and hold the capacity to demonstrate leadership when needed.

Leaders are just as flawed as anyone else. They are learning. We often place them on a pedastool, but in my mind that needs to come alongside the understanding they are equals in terms of their position within the whole. We need all of the pieces of a whole to make it work. We can look to them for inspiration, but it should only go so far as to ignite our own creative fires that serve to reciprocally inspire others, including our leadership. Vision is only one small portion of the creative process and we place far too much emphasis on it in my opinion. Drive and effort are equally as important. Balance of creative forces fosters the higest possible route to cocreation.

I agree with fern that leaders are as flawed as anyone else. I also agree with what she said about drive, effort, etc..

I think a good leader is one who can learn from his or her mistakes and is willing to acknowledge those mistakes. We need honesty and transparency.

Trump got elected acting the way he does. So he continues to act that way, purposely, I believe. He does lose his temper, but I think most of his shock jock approach is done purposely. What might have been ok in a political campaign is not ok in a massive world crisis. I have been a news junkie lately, watching WAY too much CNN. However, new info is available every day. I think some of you have missed some of his antics.
Of course everyone is flawed, but let me ask you very forgiving folks, especially those of you who are parents: how would you feel if Trump was your son? If he was mine, I would be very embarrassed by the way he speaks to individual reporters occasionally at those briefings and by plenty of the other things he does. I voted for him, but I wish we had a decent choice. Election after election the decision seems to come down to choosing between two people, neither of whom I really want to vote for.
