(please forgive what may possibly be a random post. I feel it is related to bipolar... and the struggles we face each day... or some days.... (at least some of us anyway)

''the time has come, the shaggy said
to talk of many things
of shoes, of ships, of sealing wax,
of cabbages, and kings..''

We can't do anything about the past (obviously)
but we can do something about ''this relationship''..

How has bipolar affected your ability to form relationships and friendships and to maintain them...
especially, how has it and does it affect your ability to form and especially to maintain closer relationships and friendships...

No man is an island (obviously)..

I personally believe we are in this thing called ''life'' together..

and that ''while there is life, there is hope''..

I try to keep my focus on the ''prize'' - not material wealth, not status, not ''popularity''.... not beating myself up for not constantly keeping to impossibly high standards....(imposed by someone from the past usually)....not being ''in with some in crowd, real or perceived''....not any of that ''stuff''.....

I think.. the prize is Love and authenticity where possible .... and all for one and one for all...and As Is

love to all

Beautiful!!!

Bipolar, or whatever I have going on, has not affected my ability to do anything other than to prove to me that when I truly desire something and I approach it with the love an authenticity you mention, I am able to find a way to work toward my desires. It has taught me humility and mercy and renewed my compassion for others. I lost a lot, but much of what I lost needed to be let go to make space for the changes I was refusing to otherwise make.

People and friends come and go. I believe the natural flow of life is meant to allow for this. The package the love comes in is not as important as our ability to recognize it when it comes, honor it when we have it, give back in kind, and return it to the source when we are in abundance or no longer in need.

I have lost friends thru my drinking in the past. I don't have many friends here.
Both have disappointed me.
The one friend that I stay closer to her on the phone then the other 2.
