I’m so sorry and I completely feel you! I’ve had insomnia since the beginning of July. The only thing that helps me get some sleep is essential oils, lotion, and I listen to this meditation from the mindful movement. Fall Asleep Fast Deep Sleep Meditation for Insomnia / Mindful Movement - YouTube

I wake up and play it and it helps put me back to sleep. I sleep 1-2 hours, play it and sometimes I get about 3 extra hours of sleep, I play it again and then maybe if I’m lucky I get another hour. I do it every night without sleeping pills. The sleep pills only kept me asleep about 3 hours so this is more natural. I’m hoping one day my sleep comes back to me. I just don’t want to get rebound insomnia if I take pills and then get off of them.

Thank you NaoSky, I appreciate this post. I'll try the meditation.

I actually slept a straight 5 hours last night!!! I tried the meditation for another three hours to see if I could fall back to sleep and I had one dream and can’t remember listening to some of the meditation so I think I slept a tiny bit more. I don’t even remember the last time I slept for a stretch that long. Usually it’s one hour at a time, maybe 2 or 3 if I’m lucky. It was nice. 😊

I fell asleep around 7. My leg cramps woke me up at midnight. I got back to sleep around 2:30 and woke up 6.

So not the best night but it was more then the night before where I was up most of the night.

I woke up at 12:15 really wanting water and an Oreo. But I can’t have anything to eat after midnight. I wish I had woken up at like 11:45. I fell back asleep until about 15 minutes ago. It was a combination of my right leg pain and my hunger/thirst. I can take my meds but only with a small sip of water. So hopefully I can get back to sleep for a bit.

I ate 2 Oreos for dinner at 7. Then I fell asleep until 10. I ate a TV dinner at 12:15 and then I fell back asleep until 3. I’m hoping to get back to sleep.

I just had an egg and a couple Oreos at 4. Then I took a shower and fell asleep around 7. I woke up at 10 thinking it was about 6. Then I feel back asleep until midnight. Fell asleep quickly again until. 2 fell back asleep until 3 and then fell back asleep until about 4:54. Each time I was only up for less than a minute. I have my oral sensory thing which is helping me sleep.

3 out of the last 4 days I was able to sleep about 5 hours straight... huge accomplishment from only sleeping one hour at a time!! One of the nights I woke up with stomach and butt cramps, but was able to go back to sleep for 3 hours. I really think the meditation helps me so much more than sleep pills... even though I’m not getting a full 7 hours of sleep, I’m able to function without being too sleepy during the day. Though I would LOVE to eventually get my 7 hours again, I don’t know if that will happen. My dad says he’s only gotten 4 hours for years.... so not sure if that will happen to me. Right now I average 5-6 hours broken sleep per night. But it’s also been 3-4 hours some nights.

I bought a gel memory foam mattress topper from Kohl’s just now. I’m wondering if my bed is why I’m not sleeping well. It’s not very comfortable.

I have one. It's so comfortable. The only issue I've had with mine is that it tends to slide off the mattress. I want to get one of those rubber mats that goes under a rug and place it under my mattress topper. Hopefully that will stop it from sliding.

I hope you like yours!

Hello Guys and Gals....

I was taken off Seroquel by my Neurologist due to TIA, He did increase my Xanax to help me still sleep. I am sleeping well thankfully..

Wishing you all to start getting some good quality sleep

Tonight has been worse than usual for my sleep. It took me a long time to fall asleep. Which is not typical. I fell asleep at 8:30. Then I woke up at 2:20. I took my Geodon. But it only helped me sleep until 3:30. Now I’m awake. I’ve heard of people stopping caffeine and having sleep problems. So maybe that’s what’s going on.

Up at 2:22 A.M. even with Sonata onboard. I’ve been waking early for a few days now.

My dr prescribed 4 different sleep pills but none kept me asleep... so even though I still wake without them, I use this meditation to help me fall asleep initially and also to help me go back to sleep. It’s the only thing that works for me. I’ve been struggling with sleep for almost 6 months.... this is the one I use -

I’ve been up since 3:30. That’s unusual even for me. Last nights sleep is starting to get to me. I had one coke yesterday from sonic. Why is my sleep getting weirder as I cut out caffeine....
