I have an appointment with my pdoc on the 29th. In the meantime, I have a supply of Vraylar to take PRN. I, too, had a Covid vaccine Monday, so slept fairly well. I wasn't really rested, but sleep did appear. I'm taking a wait & see attitude. You've got alot on your plate these days, with all your physical & mental issues. Make sure you're taking care of yourself. |

No, no dreams tonight. No sleep either. I gave up and am watch classic cartoons and comedy. Being bothered by memories that won’t leave me alone. Bad time in state hospitals and just the dark troubled periods of my life. Absolutely nothing I can do about it, it’s past but they won’t leave me alone tonight. So distraction seems the best course of action.

Slept last night tho. Dreamed was at a senate committee of some kind. But not in DC. It was up in the mountains in an observatory. Then some danger came and everyone had to leave. Then we were to come back. I was on my way back on a motorcycle with a trunk. I stopped at a tiny general store half way up the mountain and was picking out food by day. It was in white butcher paper marked with a grease pen, Monday, Tuesday etc..when a brother and sister heading up stopped by on a horse. At first there was just one horse. Black, then it spilt into two black horses. They brought a triangular pizza.

Hardly any sleep for me last night. Well I found out why I was having sleepless nights. I was drinking these huge bottles of green tea before bed. They have caffeine and other things to keep you alert! So no more green tea for me.

I worked in a cafe for 15 years and it's surprising, the number of people who don't know that black, green, and white teas have caffeine in them. Only herbal teas have none. __________________ |

That green tea messed me up. Went to bed at my regular time but didn’t sleep till after 4am. Interesting dream tho. Was on an Appalachian mountain side with 100’s of politicians. Then there was just a handful in spacesuits inside an airlock. Plus me. They went after each other they were supposed to be deciding on a leader and solving the crisis. Instead they turned on each other. Then there was a chimpanzee I walked him to his shelter. There was an old couple selling big plastic glasses of soda. But they were counting them and rearranging them. The world went on without the politicians!

I went to sleep at 11:30 P.M. and woke at 1:00 A.M. I believe I’m up for the day as I’m wide awake. I’m glad I got 8 hours on and off the night before. Maybe I can catch up on some things around the house that are falling through the cracks due to all these wonderful appointments. That or I could find a good movie. Today is another crammed day. I’m glad I have lots of energy and a good mood. It might be time to lower my AD.
I hope everyone is in dreamland. |

Hi all:
I'm having wicked insomnia. It's hard to tell if it's my benzo taper or my usual Spring hypomania. Probably both. Will slow down on the taper for a week and see how i do. I feel wired but not too tired, just getting some sleep-deprivation symptoms (eye super-sensitive to light, etc.) but it's tolerable. I'm having a great time so i guess as long as i feel healthy in general i won't worry too much. I'm in email contact with my doctor so we're keeping in close touch to monitor the situation. I'm trying to modulate the hypomania with sensory-deprivation, which i can do as i don't work or have family and only one friend and just a dog to take care of, so i can sit quietly and listen to the radio with my eyes shut for hours and get niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice and calm. It's not as good as sleep but it's the best i can do at the moment. It's 1:00am so i will snuggle my dog and get cozy on the couch with my favorite radio station and try to "nod-out," as the junkies say. Ta! Jane. |

Oooh. I took my usual bedtime meds last night and added in Simply Sleep, which is just diphenhydramine, to avoid lying awake for hours before finally falling asleep. I did fall asleep quickly, but awoke in the middle of the night horribly dizzy and faint. I was so dizzy this morning that I felt sick. Scary. Proves my belief that all diphenhydramines are not the same. I'm used to taking ZzzQuil and have never had any problems with it. Simply Sleep is going in the bin.

I’ve been sleeping ok since moving. You can get some crazy high doses of melatonin on Amazon that aren’t sold in the stores. I had a 20 milligram bottle but it didn’t work. I would fall asleep fast and then wake up 3 hours later and be up half the night. I also have a 12 milligram bottle. Which isn’t the greatest either. 9 milligrams (3 of the 3 mil) seems to work best for me. Tonight I don’t really have the patience so I’m just relaxing now. I drank bedtime tea with the melatonin. I haven’t taken my Geodon yet. When I take that I’ll probably really be knocked out. I’m out of the 3 mil and I gave my 20 milligram to my brother in law who’s used to things like that. My new T said 20 is too much and I don’t want to start this fiasco with her too. So I just have the 12 mil right now. I’ve been sleeping good but I always sleep good for about 2 weeks and then the rest of the month is bad. I think it’s my hormones.

I've been taking my bedtime meds, including 12.5mg of Seroquel, but not taking any melatonin or ZzzQuil. My sleep has been decent - and not one bit different than it was with the "sleep aids." Now the challenge is to give up the Seroquel altogether.

I slept ok. Although I woke up pretty early. I was just glad it wasn’t 2 hours after I went to bed. I had a couple weird dreams and I woke up with the song Tinman by America stuck in my head.
I took my usual 80 milligram of geodon. I kinda wish I taken a 60 because I’m not sure I can get back to sleep and so I may be exhausted all day. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

I woke up a couple hours after falling asleep and I’ve been up for about an hour. I took a melatonin but they don’t seem to work anymore. Any strength. I don’t know what to do.
