so I'm not sure if any of you have read my threads about this in other forums, but basically my friend jonathan has an incurable gheart condition.

last time we spoke, he infiormed that the condition was killing him, and he really didn't know how long he had (basically he said it could be days, it could be months) he really didn't know, but knew time was running out, and he asked me if I would give his family my email address just in case something happened to him.

well: it has been 2 weeks since that conversation (2 weeks today), and I have heard nothing. I have emailed encouragement (and sent an ecard), but their has been no reply

I am bracing myself for the news I really don't want to here.. jonathan has passed away
just sharing. I don't know where he is and 2 weeks... well, it's quite a long time

Sorry to hear that, raging vortex.

Sometimes when families are overwhelmed by a situation, they just don't want to talk about it because it may cause them a lot of distress. However -- and I want to emphasize this -- you absolutely did NOT do anything wrong and I think it's fantastic that you emailed encouragement. I'm sure they appreciated the sentiments, even if they didn't reply.

All that said, he may be okay, or he may not be. I'm sure it's painful not knowing either way. If you're really curious and desperately want to know, I suppose you could do the morbid thing and look for local obituaries that contain the name "Jonathan [whatever-his-last-name-is]."

I'm so sorry that you have this anxiety. Can you sign up for a free trial of Whitepages or Spokeo and get their phone number so you can call? Or his phone number?

I dont mean to minimize this, but many people live for a long time with very serious heart and other conditions.
Do you know where he lives? If he shows up, get more information. Hugs!
