Huh... I just realized... For the past month at least, I haven't heard voices, had bouts of paranoia, or seen things that weren't there.

It feels so... strange. I am not freaking out like I was at the beginning of the year with all the voices etc.. For once, I cool, calm, and collected. It almost doesn't feel right because I am so used to hearing things etc..

The only things I hear now are the damn birds inside my apartment wall that really need to go away. I realized a few months back that they entered through a vent and made a nest inside. I had initially thought it was mice squeaking, but nahhh... damn birds! They're cute though.

So happy for you, blue. It is always such a relief when the psychotic stuff lets up. Even for awhile.

Oh, blue I am so happy to hear you (well, read you)! What wonderful news. A break and a rest. Some peace.

As for the birdies...I guess they like having you as a neighbor

very happy for you too blue. my relationship with my neighboring birds has its ups and downs. getting out of the house helps. but the trouble is finding a comfortable place to go. It is actually quite nice that outdoor seating is offered at most all restaurants. on a more personal comment, I divulged to family that I have been having problems keeping my thoughts to myself. they did not take this news well, but it is not news at all bc I've been struggling with keeping my cool for so many years now, I feel that they should learn to expect this from me.

Thanks everyone. Today was another good day.

@ann bog: yeah, I know what you mean about finding a place to go outside. The only things I can do are use the trail to walk and bike, or sit down outside on my apartment's balcony, but I do not have outdoor furniture there. The whole complex got an email 1 month ago warning us that it is against the complex rules to have certain furniture colors on the balcony or to use curtains that change the color of your window. They want everything looking the same... which is frustrating.

Thrift shops and Walmart are great for patio furniture. In these times you might have to wing it with repurposed items that arent really patio furniture. Exterminator for the birdies in the wall?
Wow, seems like the slower pace of the covid lifestyle actually works for you. I so envy that. It's finally starting to really press on me. Im such a natural introverted homebody that I ALWAYS need to enforce getting out, exercising (crucial for mental illness), being active, and having relationships. Enforced isolation really doesnt work for me. It did however influence me to finish my first book in a series of chapter books for kids and young adults. Irony: they are about kids visiting the National Parks and I cant do onsite research because of covid! Thank you bipolar, I know I wouldnt have had the rush of creativity that makes the thoughts gush out. Other writers on the site, how are your writing projects going? Message me. Hugs, everyone, let's all turn the lemons of these great challenges into lemonade!

My apartment owners did the same thing. All curtains have to match and crap. No flowerpots. No colorful anything. It's ridiculous and its ugly! I think about places I've been outside of the U.S., places where color and beauty are encouraged.

Anyway, blue I'm so very happy for you
