This weekend I was trying to fill my pillbox for the week. For some reason I couldn’t do it. It took 5 tries and apparently I still got it wrong so was taking for two days. Luckily I caught it at all. Damn concentration issue and bipolar focus.

I have a hard time with this too. Often I'll fill the night time with the day and vice versa. and then I tantrum to myself over it because its not perfect.

I keep my meds in small drawers in a small chest. The top is for morning meds, the middle for 3 x a day meds or evening meds, and the bottom for nighttime meds. I keep them in the bottles. Some of my pills are so big, they don't work in a pillbox. This system works well for me.

You can also use a company .. there are numerous, But they send your pills already in lil packs.. Like " AM" " mid day" or "PM
Or you can take one pill bottle placed on the table at once , Fill your boxes, Take that pill bottle off the table, Go to next bottle, fill , take off the table until completed. Filling med boxes can get confusing.. Hope you can work out a way that works better for you __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I have had so many times this year when I screwed up my meds (filling the pill box). I've been seriously frustrated with myself over it. What I've been doing is what Christina suggested...1 bottle on the table, pills in box...Next bottle on the table, pills in box.
Slow way, but at least it keeps me from getting everything mixed up. And yeah - for me, it's that cognitive thing, too. I can't connect the dots. __________________ |

I use a bubble pack from my pharmacy. It pre-sorts my pills daily into a morning "bubble" a midday "bubble" an evening one and a bedtime one. (I don't have any to take midday so that bubble is left empty.) The days are in strips one on top of the last. Easy to see if you've taken or missed your pills.
Before the bubble packs, I would sit with all my pill bottles and sort them into a morning dose and an evening dose for each day. It took half an hour and my neck got sore from leaning over for that long. __________________ Wellbutrin XL 300 mg Loxapine 50mg Ingrezza 80 mg Propranolol 20 mg 2x/day Mania (December 2023) Mixed episode/Hypomania (September 2023) Depression, Anxiety and Intrusive thoughts (September 2021) Depression & Psychosis (July/August 2021) Mania (April/May 2019) |
