Not much to say. Just checking in. I have more umbrellas than my “usual” and this has been the case for the past week or so. Several things have triggered me (not related to the current **** in the world....) Does anyone have any helpful, positive suggestions to help with depression? (I am allergic to pets and a lot of other things). I do not want to talk to a doctor (I have not usually found them helpful in this forest ... on Multiple Occasions..... including quite recently...although they do prescribe the one med I am not allergic to.. ) and am hoping this will not become necessary also my expectations are not unrealistically high, I do however require respect from them.

Hugs and respect

The above was not intended as an “attack” on doctors, I know there are many wonderful doctors. It is just that in this forest they do not tend to be helpful to MY MH stuff.. I can only speak for myself.

This bear does not even feel real now. Maybe I will vanish in a puff of smoke? I wish I could....

Sorry to hear you're experiencing depression, Fuzzy.

Personally, I try to find distractions when I'm depressed. Even if those distractions only help for 5-10 minutes, that is 5-10 minutes where I'm *not* being consumed by depression. I think that's worth something. We all need to find a break somehow, so even 5-10 minutes is better than nothing.

One activity that could help you cope with depression is cooking or baking something you really like to eat. When you're cooking or baking, you're engaging all five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. IMO, the more senses that you engage at once, the easier it is for you to distract yourself. So, I think you should try activities that involve multiple senses, even if it's not all five senses. You can also combine senses: For example, I think I have a f***ing mouse in my apartment, so I have peppermint oil being diffused into the air (to ward them off... kinda like vampires with garlic ), but when I have the peppermint smell in the air and I'm doing something else, it really helps calm me down. (P.S. I recommend peppermint, vanilla, lavender, or honey for scents, although some people like cinnamon).

I'm not depressed, but I am stressed out and the peppermint relaxes me (which is a damn good thing because it works on the mice). It also makes it feel like Christmas... So I suppose if you really like Christmas, for example, you can get Christmas tree scents? I dunno. Just try to find a scent you like. A diffuser is only like $15-20 on Amazon, so... £12-16 in the UK. Then the essential oils are like $10-15 each unless you buy them in a pack (but usually sellers on Amazon like to include some scents that smell like dogshit because no one buys them and they can't get rid of them... so you're kinda "overpaying" by purchasing oils in a pack because you're buying something you won't use). I get the 4oz bottles. They come with an eyedropper and you only put like 3-5 drops of the oil into the diffuser, so 4oz will last you a LONG time.

Hugs, Fuzzy. Yes, distract for a bit. Walk, look at flowers or puppies or babies or pandas or watch Winnie the Pooh. Something.

Love!!!

I do not have a lot of experience to offer in the depression department, but I did want to remind you I care for you and send a hug your way. If there's anything I can do to help please ask.

Hey there, Fuzzy

I wish I was better at giving suggestions. When I feel depressed I try my best to read a good novel. If I can really get into the story it's kind-of like I do disappear for a while...I take a break from myself.

Fuzzy, when I have been diagnosed depressed, I always enjoyed making what I thought were clever playlists on spotify or even long ago... on cassette a mixtape. Oh I'd do best love song per decade, then year or more usually, sad song. Or usually rock. Or like Christina, I would read a book series in a row. I was fond of fantasy or mystery. I always read slower during depression, because I would fall asleep a little more, but I'd push myself to get through the books because I love to read. Walks, sometimes help. Big clothes to melt into.

I send you lots of love, Fuzzy.

I like the Frasier fir soaps!
They smell wonderful. They sell other products that are scented.
their web site: Thymes | Fragrances for Bath, Body, and Home
1800-366-4071
Made in the usa out of minneapolis.
they have the reeds that are in a little glass with oil and the reeds difuse the fir scent.
The soap was given to me by a clienet of mine,

best christmas prescent I got!

I have not used the soap yet because there is a pretty tree on the top of the bar. it rests in a dish.
I want to get the reeds!
bizi hugs to you dear fuzzy!

Sorry to hear Fuzzy sending you many beat ((((((((((Hugs))))))))))

I distract myself with books or a series binge, or I visit friends with babies or young kids, babies are a good mood enhancer for me.
