What movies do you think address bipolar as real as possible the good and the bad? I am looking for new movies to watch.

Infinitely Polar Bear starring Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana. I think it feels more real than other depictions I watched. It's pretty good.

Well, I do not know all the actual history and all, but Jean d'Arc was in the bp 1-sz spectrum somewhere for sure, it seems. The Milla Jovovich movie The Messenger was entertaining, I thought. Not sure about realism and all. We did not really have Geodon and Invega back then, sadly enough...

I haven't seen the following newly released movie but I happened to see the following this evening on an August 25 PsychCentral Bipolar Blog:
The Blech Effect: A New Film About the Impact of Bipolar Disorder on a Family There is a trailer for it that is linked at the Blog. __________________ A virtual to all in a time of physical social distancing! I always suggest "finding a family"
the movie itself isn't about bipolar, the movie is about a boy who is searching for a new family because he has a bipolar mother and she is constantly unable to take care of him (always in the hospital) she's not really in much of the movie, but in the first 20, 30 minits their are some sceens involving her snapping at the kid, having an argument, and flushing her medication down the toilet (their's even a sceen where the person next door comes round to complain) the rest of the movie is just about alex, and his search for a family |

Vincent and Theo.
An intense, enchanting, passionate film. Magnificent. I know there's some speculation about not diagnosing someone after death, but I am firmly convinced that Vincent van Gogh had BD1. The movie spectacularly portrays his battle with his illness, as well as his brother's severely neurotic anxiety and depression...and possibly BD2. __________________ |

I second Infinitely Polar Bear. That is probably my favorite that I’ve seen. The only others I’ve seen, in order of favoritism:
Touched With Fire An episode from the series entitled “Modern Love” (the episode that stared Anne Hathaway) on Amazon Prime Mad Love Silver Linings Playbook. __________________ ***** Every finger in the room is pointing at me I want to spit in their faces then I get afraid of what that could bring I got a bowling ball in my stomach I got a desert in my mouth Figures that my courage would choose to sell out now Tori Amos ~ Crucify Dx: Schizoaffective Disorder |

I've looked these movies up on Netflix and none have showed up. Darn.

Michael Clayton. The portrayal of mania is right on.

This may be off topic but “Girl Interrupted” discuss mental health issues in general. I’ve never seen the movie but I read the book.

The book is amusing, the movie is outstanding. Much deeper than the book. I've seen it so many times I lost count long ago. You have to watch it! __________________ |
