You were super duper paranoid on it, dude, 'member talking to me at like, 2 in the morning or whatever? I'm not really convinced it was the drug for you. Just 'cuz it is a miracle for Susie, might totally blow for Bob. Our brains are so unique and complex. How are symptoms now?

Awesome, congrats! Enjoy your first night in your new home.

Able to walk more and with less pain every day (achilles surgery). Very encouraging. I wish the rest of my chronic pain would go away. The weeks of toxic, smokey air sure can't help anybody.

Overall, pretty good!

I think we all have a med or two we feel this way about. From what bpcyclist said it sounds like clozaril wasn't very friendly to you. It's not the easiest med by far and if it didn't work it didn't work. Something else will help you. Have you tried some of the older APs?

Good suggestion. In a number of ways I've found the typical AP's more effective, and with less side effects than the atypicals. The newer AP's have such horrendous and lasting side effects.

Thanks! I'm just so happy. ☺

My laundry is in the building and the machines take credit cards! I was worried I'd have to find quarters.

Construction noise has been bothering me. It's making me cranky and short-tempered. So i bought a white-noise machine! Yay! It'll be here tomorrow. I'm so excited! It has seven nature sounds settings too! I could tell it's from China from the copy: it says it's "more considerable." Well, there's a ringing endorsement!

@Moose72: Congratulations on your move! All your hard work paying off! Your lamp looks very cheerful! It's great that your laundry machines take credit cards. Ours take coins and it's such a bore, especially during COVID when you already don't want to be handling cash.

Hugs not ughs, especially to those effected by the wildfires.

Yes! It's been a long road in getting here- even more than this past month which is when I started this journey with this apartment complex. I was looking up places that took section 8 but none were one bedrooms- or the ones that WERE 1 bedroom were in a town too far away. I got lucky that my mom's neighbor works for this company and suggested several complexes actually. Applied for this one and was accepted! I can't tell you how happy that made me feel!

The lamp is cheerful! The fun thing about it is that you can have 2, 3, or 5 lights on at once. One thing I noticed is that the in-wall ac unit was turning on a lot. I had the sliding glass door to the balcony open so that must've been it. The laundry isn't too expensive so that's nice.

I need to finish my move-in inspection. You know- where you tell them what's wrong with the new place when you first move in so they don't charge you for it when you leave.

I’m glad laundry doesn’t cost too much. What I loved about my sec 8 in Texas was it had laundry hook ups and the woman who helped me find my apartment hooked me up with a great old washer dryer combo that only cost $150 and the guy delivered! It was so nice having that. Never once gave me trouble all the years I lived there. I think I was there 12 years. Longest I’d ever stayed in one place. I had decent pdoc s and a great T that kept me stable. Really sec 8 was one of the best things that happened to me in terms of helping stay stable.

Now that you mention it, section 8 has really helped me stay stable too. I got out of my mom's house. And now I'm in the new place - my first apartment that I've had all to myself! I feel such a relief since moving in here. Our movers were wonderfil- hard-working and kind. It's kind of scary that I'm by myself, but on the other hand I spent the last 3 months alone in that 3-bedroom townhouse.

Enjoy your sounds machine! I had one years ago and really enjoyed it. Lately I've been thinking about getting another one. But I get all hung up on which sounds I want and which I don't.

I was on loxapine and recommend it. It's an early atypical. It metabolizes into an antidepressant (amoxapine) so you get double duty. It has a huge amount to go up and I was just reaching the dose my pdoc wanted me on when I developed dystonias. But that's rare and from the little time I was on I could tell that it ws going to help me stabilize.

As I understand it, the one big concern with the older AP's was tardive dyskinesia. But the thing is, TD usually happens when high doses have been used for a long time (years). Way back when, people were prescribed doses that were much higher than were necessary.

It seems to me, from my own experience and from what I hear from other patients, that the atypicals cause so many problems. If I can go with an older AP, I will.
