I’m feeling jumpy very anxious and my lack of focus is gone to the point of being forgetful.

Scared I’m relapsing. Don’t see my pdoc until next Wednesday. This is my first full week at work after having been part time for a few months.

I DO NOT feel euphoric AND I am sleeping!!!

Wow ! You have insight, awareness of self, and appear to have caught this thing red-handed. You are a hero and an inspiration.

What about leaving the pdoc a message re your fears ?

Thank you! That’s a possibility but I think he will just tell me to come in. I’m trying to avoid it so I don’t have to take time off work. I’ve had so much time off

If you don't want to see your doc until your appointment next week, what strategies can you use in the meantime?

What typically helps with anxiety? I like this technique as a super quick way to calm down and place myself in a position where I can focus.

Five-Finger Relaxation Technique | Human Resources | Nebraska.

How can you help yourself remember things better? Reminders, notes to yourself, alarms, repeating phrases?

I think it could also help to have a few phrases you repeat to yourself like mantras to help set your intent. Things like 'I've worked full time before. My mind and my body know how to do this'. Or...'Each day only lasts eight hours and then I can relax.'

Hang in there. I think you are brave for taking this step and I can see why you'd worry about relapse, but fear responses look a lot like relapse initially. See if you can slow it down a bit. I really hope things improve.

Love your ideas. Thank you for sharing. I’m going to go through your post later on again today to read through it carefully (5am and now I need coffee and get ready for work!)
