Do you have a favorite go to movie that you watch when depressed to try to distract you or lift your mood? I like Clue because it is my favorite movie and I can mindlessly kill 90 minutes of thinking how bad I feel.
Thanks for this!

Not a specific movie but Christmas movies in general always put me in a good mood

Other ones are the Halloween movies (Michael Myers) Yeah, I don't know what that says about me. But I'm a big horror fan and find those movies comforting in a way because I've seen them so many times.

I have a short list of movies I watch over and over when I’m depressed. Most of them are fantasy.
Golden compass
River world
City of amber
Melancholia
Star gate, all of them
And I read and reread all my Star Trek books

When I'm having a rough time, I like to watch old classics. Sometimes I like to watch Office Space even though I know most of the lines by heart.

I like comedies when I'm totally out of it to lift my mood. Even if it's just a split second laugh.

Nah. You will NEVER see me sitting on the couch focused on one thing for 90 minutes straight lol.

Really? I binge watch TV while depressed. It keeps me from thinking about problems. It definitely doesn’t solve them, but helps me get through another day.

Yeah, I have a poor attention span (not just when depressed) and watching TV or movies makes me feel like I’m sitting through a lecture at school except there are no consequences to not doing it. I go to music instead. Probably more ADHDish than bipolarish.
