When I was a kid my dad took us to see the Jim Carey version in the theaters on Christmas Eve while my mom wrapped presents. He took us for pizza first then we went to see the movie. Then we came home and later went to church and to my grandmas for dinner.

Those were such good memories.

I LOVE the Grinch!!!!!!!!! Original cartoon way above the rest (I've seen those too, and liked, but not nearly as much as the original). I haven't seen it in many years though.

I like the singing in the original cartoon. It was sung by a man named Thurl Ravenscroft. He had a wonderfully full bass voice! "You're a mean one, Mister Grinch!"

I watched the 2018 animated version recently which was pretty good. My favorite is the live actor version with Jim Carrey though

The 1966 animated version, narated by Boris Karloff just can't be replaced for me. I watched it last week, live on CBC with the commercials and I felt 8 years old again. It's still as enchanting as it ever was.

I watch it every Christmas season, and it just never gets old.

I’m another fan of the original version. The voice! Sends shivers up my back.

I don't know. At one point there was a website devoted solely to him. They might know. Or good old wikipedia might know. I spoke with him when i called up a radio show he was on. This was around 1999 or 2000. He was also the bass voice of the singing busts quartet in the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.
