I am very happy I got it increased today and I hope it helps my anxiety. Is 1 milligram twice a day, prescribed not as needed a high dose?

I hope I never have to come off this.

The maximum dose is usually 4mg a day.

So I'd say you're two-thirds in for dosage strength

Mountaindewed, when I saw your question I became a little worried that you were thinking how far you might push the dose in the future. I think your current dose is more than enough, unless your doctor suggests otherwise. Believe me when I say that you do not want to be pushing benzo doses too high.

Soupe is so correct. If there's anything no one wants to play around with, it's benzos. I have a 20+ year history with Klonopin, and I know what I'm saying. All that happens if someone abuses benzos is that they end up being physically very sick.

Yeah xanax is. So helpful when you need it. I literally could not move a step without crying when it was prescribed for me. Then getting off it was the same process in reverse. I had to sleep off the withdrawal, one day at a time, like a quarter mg every 2 weeks or more. It took a while. Xanax does not let go of you easily. But its a miracle worker when you need a miracle.

My doctor prescribed me 2 milligrams a day. He said to take one milligram twice a day. I am not pushing my dose. I am taking what my doctor told me to take. I will not take anymore then the prescribed dose. I don’t even know if I’ll need the full dose everyday. I can already feel it start to help and I just took 1mil last night.

My increase in Geodon is what I’m most excited about.

But I was just wondering if 2mil a day was considered a lot. Thanks for your answers and help.

I was on 3mg extended release and 2mg as a prn. They took me down to 0.75mg in the hospital and the withdraw sucked. I am back on benzos but this time up to 4mg as needed. But my pdoc yesterday all the benzos in the world won’t help with anxiety that you have to deal with the root cause.
