Do your moods follow a pattern thru the day?

Mine do and it's an unpleasant one. I feel worst when i first get up. Sometimes it takes me a few tries over several hours to get up for good. Then it improves steadily thru the day until late at night when i feel fine. I wonder if i'm getting a meds hangover? Will follow up with my doctor about that.

How 'bout yourself?

I often feel worst in the mornings as well. It's common with depression, so it's not necessarily med hangover. It could be, of course, but that's hard to say without knowing more.

I often feel much worse in the mornings as well, I think it could partly be a hangover from temazepam (but I also had it when I was taking Seroquel). I also think it’s common to feel worse in the mornings with Depression.

If I'm manic, it gets worse around mid-day, if I'm depressed it gets worse at night. If I'm neither it's pretty steady throughout the day aside from crazy emotions which are dependent on events that happen.

Usually if I'm manic or depressed, it hits me sometime after lunch. Hypomania can hit me at any time of the day, but more regularly in the afternoon or evening. On the whole, evening can be a dangerous time.

I thought I had replied on this thread hours ago. Weird day for me.

Anyway - yes, for me, mornings are bright. That said, although I'm up by dawn, I do return to sleep mid-morning. I'm sure that sleepiness is due to med hangover.

Around 2 p.m. during the colder months is when my depression flares. It's that late afternoon cold sun and low light that gets to me. Once darkness falls, there is some relief - although I tend to be more anxious in the evening. Rainy days are such a relief because the light stays the same. But rainy days are rare anymore.

During the warmer months, in general my mood patterns don't seem as affected by the time of day. I don't recall mania being particularly active during a specific time of day.

I wake up very anxious and somewhat depressed. Not a lot of motivation which is a real problem.

I haven't exercised in over a year. I know I have to and I can't get my butt going. I am mad at myself because I hate the way I look.

I come here to read posts and that really helps. I'm trying to post again. Once I make myself get a few tasks done I feel better as well. I hate getting on the phone so that is a barrier too.

I can't say enough about this supplement. For whatever reason, it keeps my depression at bay and I feel so much better when I take it.

For me also morning most difficult and night best. Even before I took meds it was that way. But I was extremely depressed at that time too.

I am stable now so the moods aren't extreme now. But still it takes me awhile to get going in the morning. Plus I have back pain which follows the same pattern.

I take sleep meds so there could be morning hangover or it is just my normal habit pattern.
