It's sad that this site has finally given in and is allowing advertising now. It's really annoying. It's not really appropriate to be pouring out your heart's thickest chyme with irritating advertising flashing by. So sorry the developer gave into pressure. Sorry someone is turning a buck off our suffering.

It's distracting. It moves and my eyes automatically go there. They would have to pay to not have the ads so of course they are going to have them.

It's extremely distracting to me and I'm not even manic right now. It makes me a bit more paranoid. Some of the ads have been harmful to my mental health. I don't know what to do about it. I cannot use the site on my computer anymore.

Strangely, I have not seen any ads yet. I wonder if I have adblocker.

If you’re using tapatalk there aren’t ads, or typically if you’re logged in on your browser.....

I use the Firefox browser in "strict" protection mode and have never seen any ads.

I’ve had trouble reading threads. The page goes blank and then the ad pops up. There are better ways to monotize sites.

I have no problem with money being made. I run a website and the server and software cost money. Also, time isn’t free. I’d suggest figuring out another ad placement.

The adverts are going to seriously discourage my participation here.

Are you sure its not an issue with maleware? Pop ups that block the page are not forum ads. The forum may have top or bottom banner ads but nothing like that

They're targeted bottom banner adverts, often focusing on mental health and substance abuse facilities. I'm pretty sure it was a conscious decision on the part of mysupportforum.org

Can I ask why you’re so opposed as long as they don’t interfere? It costs a lot to run and maintain a website.

Yes, usually I access this site through Chrome, but I after what was written about Firefox, I gave that a try. No ads when I view using Firefox.

It is a shame, but everything seems to all be about money, anymore. Money, money, money! Especially in the USA.
