My kitty Bootsie Jane got very sick and I had to make a tough decision yesterday to put her to sleep. My heart is breaking bc she was my very best friend. My head and eyes hurt from crying. I’ve been binge eating for some reason all day even though physically I don’t feel well either. I’m a broken mess .

She was a 17 year old queen of the house cat that I raised from a kitten. This house seems so empty without her. I keep expecting to see her.

I don’t think I can ever truly heal from this.

Bootsie Jane 2004-2021

I'm so sorry HallieBeth. I know that nothing I can say will help. It's just a painful thing to go through. I hope that eventually the good memories help. I'm just starting to be able to look at pictures of my CharlieCat who died in July and have good memories so I know that stage comes.

Be good to yourself.

I'm sorry HallieBeth - unfortunately, grief takes time. I lost two beloved kitties (one in 2012 and one in 2017) and it is so, so hard.

Hugs and love.

My condolences to you HALLIEBETH. I know how awful it is to lose a pet. Choosing to put a pet asleep is hard, but usually the merciful thing to do. You will always remember your kitty. At least your kitty had a good long life and was certainly happy living in a loving home.

I am so, so sorry. I think that losing a pet is some of the worst pain there is. Please be kind to yourself at this time, Halliebeth.

She had intestinal cancer and started suffering. When I took her there she just relaxed and I just kept loving on her. It’s like she knew

My cat who is only 6 years old was just diagnosed with a stomach tumor. I can't afford biopsies. Yesterday I thought I was going to have to put him down too, however he hadn't lost as much weight as I thought and they are trying him on a prescription diet. So far he hasn't thrown up. I have no idea of how much time he has.

I understand how you are feeling right now. I am sorry this has happened to you.
