Hi you guys, just to preface, I was a regular on this forum early in my recovery. As the years have gone by, of learning about BiPolar with Psychotic Features and how to live with it; I decided to start sharing videos on facebook of what's helped me in recovery. Last week I created a YouTube channel with the content.
Here>> Burnout Utopia - YouTube I'm here to spread the channel, but I'm more interested if someone finds the content helpful what topics are most important to you and maybe I could take a crack at them. I've been through the gamet like most of us: recovery clinics, hospitalizations, low self-esteem, psychotherapy, medications, episodes, job loss, chronic isolation, finding new social circles, using supports, learning coping skills, SSDI, activism, long-term sobriety, and more. I've spent what feels like a lifetime trying to learn about my own recovery as I'm sure many can relate. Thanks everybody, Hope this helps. - D __________________ love in the morning / i go forward / into my day. Please help by offering suggestions for what you'd like to hear about mental-health wise. where did you get the name for the channel?. I think it is cool
I also think it's great that you're spreading awareness and trying to help others. their needs to be more people like you in the world I think you should do a weekly topic. each week, pick a topic related to MI/bipolar (so anxiety, or mania, or coping methods, or what ever) and just do videos about it. personal experiences too: like if you've tried something like a med, or a method, how it has worked for you even could go as far as posting, for example, journal prompts or music to help relax the mind. the world of what you can do... it's a lot good luck! |

I watched your video on distress tolerance and liked it! You have a good, clear delivery (strong voice, easy to listen to). The content is well-researched and clearly comes from your lived experience.
I like raging vortex's suggestions, they're excellent. __________________ |

What a cool idea for a YouTube channel! I've subscribed! Good luck and have fun on your journey towards spreading awareness!
I know that I've personally struggled with workflow and unemployment, thanks to mental health. Seeing there possibly be a resource that touches on complicated topics like that is a relief. It's appreciated, really. Again, best of luck! Thank you for sharing this!☆ |
