I'd take the weight gain, as unpleasant as that sounds. Unstoppable mood episodes are a far greater misery and far more dangerous for me. Of course I know that the weight gain can bring with it plenty of health issues, but if it didn't (or they could be controlled by medication/diet/exercise) they'd be better. A hell of a lot of people in this world are 50 lbs overweight even without psychotropic medications. It's not like you'd stand out that uniquely.

What are you most confident in doing?

I'm a good aunt.

The totally predictable: Are you doing anything for Easter tomorrow?

I start my response with a riddle:

QUESTION: What is the definition of infinity?

ANSWER: Two people & a ham.

Yes, despite the fact that it will just be the two of us, my partner bought a ham for Easter dinner. Thus, we'll be having ham for breakfast, lunch & dinner for the forseeable future! My partner greatly enjoys family dinners on holidays, but we didn't want to host a super-spreader event. Maybe we can resume our gatherings soon...

What is your favorite holiday? Explain why.

Oh easy peaseie Halloween!!! Oh it is too a holiday. Dress up and my grandson’s birthday is celebrated then too.

Great question, I’ll repeat it. What’s your favorite holiday?

Halloween here, too! I enjoy the creativity of the holiday, and that if people dress up they generally dress as their alter egos. Easter is pretty, though.

Would you rather receive and Easter basket or a Christmas fruitcake?

Easter Basket

Do you eat breakfast every day?

Yes, and it is usually at the same exact time each morning. It always includes coffee, a little orange juice, sometimes a low fat yogurt, and some starchy main (oatmeal, granola, breakfast bun, pastry, or other sweet-type option). Prior to about 14 years ago (before bipolar meds), I only consumed coffee for breakfast. My Seroquel XR makes me hungry in the mornings.

If you celebrated Easter in your youth, what were some of your customs?

Church, home pick up picnic, travel out with to a park where met up with family there were roughly 20 of us. We would play cricket or rounders, eat, roll our eggs, have loads of fun there were loads of us kids.

Question: If you celebrate it now how do you normally celebrate Easter?

today I had some easter eggs and did an online quiz about the easter story, and later I am having roast lamb.

about it though: hard being alone for these holidays sometimes

do you ever take part in online surveys by websites looking to conduct studdies/ research? (I often take part in chronic pain and bipolar ones)

I never participate in those surveys. I'm afraid they leave the door open to getting spammed more than I do already. I also think remaining fairly anonymous online is a good idea. I'm glad you enjoy the surveys, though, raging vortex (BTW, I'm sorry if you are feeling alone today).

While the following site is from the Minnesota DNR, it demonstrates the individual songs of common birds in North America (especially the upper-Midwest):

Minnesota Bird Songs | Minnesota Conservation Volunteer | Minnesota DNR

What is your favorite bird? What is it that you find most appealing about this bird?

Oh, tough question. There’s the cardinal, and the blue bird. Both because they are so pretty and rare. I see the cardinal more tho. But I also love crows, they are so funny. When I live in Texas Sir had a bed and a small dish of hard food in the big picture window that looked right out to the top of a tree. He had dinner and a show! A crow came along one year and teased Sir. The big bird was not at all afraid of Sir like most birds. Instead he would land on the still and pretend to eat Sirs food. Drove Sir nuts. the bird went off one day and didn’t return.

What was a fun or funny incident you experienced with nature.

Maybe a different question?

What’s your favorite personal possession and why?

The painting my mom made for me before she passed away. It is a picture of a seaside town and I love it. I remember I walked in on her painting it for me for Christmas and she was quickly trying to hide it and I just played clueless like I had no idea what was going on.

Do you feel as though you belong in this world?

no. not at all. I still hope (some part of me hopes anyway) that this all is a simulated life as it's been a ****ing joke from start to finish.

I know I won't get a second chance, but. wish I could sometimes. it would make my current life seem less depressing.

do you use streaming services such as spotify or apple music. why or why not?

I don't use music streaming services just because I'm not good at technology stuff - but I'm going to at least look into spotify.

What's your favorite sport to play (if you have one) on a sunny, spring afternoon?

I played baseball into my mid-40s. The game is like a form of meditation...very focused & relaxing. I don't currently play any sports, but I'd like to start playing badminton again, now that you mention it.

Do you believe in a god or higher power? Explain.

yes...

when I was younger

Possible trigger:

but I was totally uninjured. if you looked at me after the accident, you'd have never guessed I was in the same car, and it dawned on me... well, that just doesn't happen.

so started my belief

cat or dog person

I don't dislike dogs at all, but I'm a cat person. And rats, too.

Do you have, or would you like to have, a water fountain?

I always wanted a water fountain on the side of the pool I don’t have. Adds a certain luxury to my daydream.

If you had the option of getting rid of just one symptom for good, which one would it be?
