Yes, the first covid year was a bigger challenge than usual. Ill have my second covid vaccine in early April 2021, so my bp2 is going to be a lot better in time with eventual access to my beloved water aerobics and coffee with a BFF, visits to my grandkids in San Diego.
However, Im trying to take advantage of some additional downtime to consider DNA testing. Does anyone have a story to share?

I've never had that done, but have heard of others that have. I never got the sense that it was a supremely valuable tool. Like many other new or unique approaches, it can be great for some or seem to show as charlatanry to others. If you are eager to try new treatments or cocktails, and it doesn't cost much money, you should go for it, if you want.

Mine did show not to take ability and I already had-I’m allergic to it! But the others? They weren’t all accurate

I have not had the testing done, either. The main reason I haven't is because so far, I haven't heard of anyone who found the test helpful. Seems like it's not as refined as it would need to be, in order to be accurate.

I’ve not had it done. I found by trail and err the one that works for me. My daughter has very good results on the same combo. So I believe there’s something to it. I’m just not sure they have been tested enough to give out accurate results yet. I think they are still a hit of miss proposition I don’t think insurance covers them yet.

My pdoc has suggested it since I'm treatment resistant. She's never shared if genomic testing has been useful in treating patients like myself. Sort of like going to Vegas; You place your bet and you take your chances.

My meds seem to be finally ok but it has all been trial and error. No DNA testing done specifically for bipolar medication.
