I think I'm on the brink of psychosis. I'm disassociating now and all sounds are amplified. Paranoia is starting to kick in. Help, what can I do? I don't want to go to the hospital.

Contact your pdoc and adjust your medication asap. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

I agree. Hopefully by contacting your Pdoc now, you'll be soon enough to nip this in the bud and avoid the hospital. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you, everyone. I called my PDOC and she saw me right away this morning. I was able to take some meds to fight anxiety and sleep last night. I rested today and took my anxiety medication to ease it. I am feeling much better now. I was severely triggered by some childhood trauma after a visit to my parents and it had been building up with lack of sleep and loss of appetite. Thank you all for your support and help. I am blessed to have a good support system here and now with you guys.

That is excellent, MamaBear4! Less anxiety plus more sleep is key. Thank you for your update.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! I hope you can stay in touch with your Pdoc this coming time to keep an eye on the situation and keep it under control. If the worst does happen and you're eventually forced to visit the hospital, please realize that even in that scenario, they're there to help you, although of course I understand that you prefer to avoid that situation.

Aah, @MamaBear4: I see you took swift and sure action re your psychosis. I had asked on the check-in thread what you had done to put a stop to it and you have answered here, so pleased disregard my question. Thanks for keeping us updated, it's always good to hear how psychosis is handled successfully.
