...and it means 'a beautiful girl or woman.'
Let's all abandon the capitalist running-dogs' attempt to oppress women thru The Hollywood Ideal and embrace ourselves -- fat, thin and everything in-between!!! People come in all shapes and sizes! You can be healthy at every size! There is no evidence that only thin women are beautiful. Beauty comes from within!!! Let's all be beautiful together!!! Hugs, Jane. |

@mssweatypalms and all:
It would be nice, of course, if others in our lives would see us as phat but it starts with US seeing OURSELVES as phat. Dress up, do your hair, be yourself, wear perfume, whatever makes you celebrate yourself -- others will follow your lead!!! I am enjoying some bras i bought for $11 online as my breasts have swelled along with the rest of me and now i am so buxom my dog sat on my breasts last night when we had thunderstorms and she was scared!!! Skinny athletic women sometimes don't have any breast at all!!! I know i didn't when i had anorexia as a teen gymnast. Every size has it's own beauty and it's own advantages. Discover yours!!!!! Hugs, Jane. |

I was pretty small, upstairs, when I was in my 20s and much of my 30s. Weight gain did give me a little more there, but what really seemed to do the trick was Risperdal and Invega. I can't say I particularly liked those two medications, otherwise. They gave me plenty of less desirable side effects. I suppose if I was a male or child, this sole "bonus" would not have been nearly as appreciated. Perhaps not all women would experience this. Maybe only those who have some hyperprolactinemia side effect?

Welll...I breastfed my 2 babies until they were each two years old...my "girls" have kinda dropped at this point. And I'm sure that being 18 months from age 60 contributes to the southern stretch, too.

This is almost too embarrassing to share, but I actually started lactating when they put on on Risperdal. It was pretty horrifying. If nothing else, at least I was able to feed that litter of puppies... (Sometimes you have to joke about such things.)

I also had the lactation. This may sound gross, but it came to the point where I had to put panty liners in my Büstenhalter. To think that many, including myself, even put up with that. For me, the final straw was when I developed a pituitary tumor. |

This always cracked me up! Those crazy Germans! The literal translation is "bust holder." Better known in American circles as a bra.
I'm sorry you developed a tumor as a result of that horrible medication, Soupe. I can't believe they gave me that nasty shite. |

I'm glad you haven't dealt with hyperprolactinemia. Actually, Risperdal was pretty good at controlling my moods, too. On Invega I was depressed, but even that ended a bad mania.

My husband's family incorporates a lot of German words into their speech, including that one. I guess leftover from the Austro-Hungarian days. You're likely aware of the history. The Czech word is "podprsenka", which sounds kind of funny, too, as "pod" means "under" and prsenka" is "breast". Actually, most in my husband's family speak German, too. Half have lived in Munich since 1968. My s-i-l near Prague is a translator.
